Hi daddd

Well, actually the article allows that a lot of them left voluntary because they didn't want to live in a war zone. Understandable certainly. But that doesn't support what you seem to be inferring, that Israel or the Jews kicked christians out of the area. That just is not a true statement, based on the evidence of your supporting article. And as far as I am aware, it just isn't a true statement at all.
" A large number of Arab Christians fled or were expelled from the Jewish-controlled areas of Mandatory Palestine during the 1948 Arab–Israeli War, and a small number left during the period (1948–1967) of Jordanian control of the West Bank for economic reasons." wiki

So a lot left. Are you blaming them?

No sense in denying what? You're off in left field somewhere if you think that I've been claiming that the people of Israel are good. But what people do, how people are, has no bearing on what the word of God says. I have no idea how well you've been reading my posts, but I've never made the argument that you're claiming I'm making. All I said, in answer to the question about Israel becoming a nation in 1948, was that there were prophecies that worked that date out. I
Yet you never posted them

made no claim as to the goodness of any people or the righteousness before God of any people. I just said that God's word says that Israel will be restored and the two places of Scripture that I brought in to the discussion, that deal with the discipline of God towards His people, point to the date of May 14, 1948.

It will be restored when Jesus comes and they are saved.
What!?!?!?!? You just make these things up to support your position do you? What in the world does how christians are treated in the middle east have to do with a prophecy that God caused to be written about 2700 years before the event came to pass? You really need to work on your skills here in staying on point.
It shows that the secular nation is just another nation in the world and that if God was leading them and restored them, they would be good to His people. Not complicated.
Or you could go back to post #189 and read it!!!!!!!

God bless,
Ted
No details in that post about what verses were used.

Hi daddd
So a lot left. Are you blaming them?
I don't think that you and I are going to be able to continue this discussion. You don't seem to be hearing what I'm saying. I really don't understand why you post these questions to me. None of them have any bearing whatsoever on what God's word says. Why in the world would you think that I'm blaming someone because a lot of people left the middle east? That is not an issue in this discussion. I don't care if 600 million people died at the hands of the Jews in Israel in 1947 or 1962 or any other year for that matter. I don't care if the world is going to implode tomorrow because Satan is sending nuclear weapons from China!!!! It doesn't have anything to do with the 'fact', yes it's a fact that these words are written in the Scriptures, that Ezekiel was given a command by God to lie down as a siege works before Jerusalem for 430 days. All the wicked people in the world doing whatever all the wicked people in the world are doing, has no bearing on the fact, yes it's another fact, that God's word says that He will multiply Israel's punishment times 7 if they do not return to Him.
Yet you never posted them
NO!@!!! You don't read!!!! I just responded to you that it was in post #189!!!!!

Look, you obviously aren't keeping track here with what I'm saying, and I'm sorry, but I can't be any clearer and yet you continue to respond with issues that have nothing to do with the matter.

Ted

Look you posted nothing that says God restored Jews in 1948. Cheers

Hi daddd

Look, one of us isn't hearing the other. I answered your question about my having posted my information on this. It's in post #189.

I can't help you any more than that. And all of these questions you bring up about, "Oh well, God wouldn't do this because it isn't a 'christian' thing to do. Really!?!?!?!?!? God wrote these prophecies long before there even were any christians for which you think God should never allow them to suffer. OK!

HI daddd

Yes, of course you're right. And hey, Daniel's prophecy doesn't say Jesus will be here in 32 A.D. either. God doesn't generally provide calendar dates with any of His prophecies. So, if that's what you're looking for, then your complaint is with God and not me. God gives a number of days of years and then it's up to His children to figure out how those numbers of days and years correspond to our current calendar. I don't think there's a single prophecy of God that lists a calendar date.

If you find one, let me know.

God bless,
Ted

OK, I see the calculations were done not by your post but in the quote you replied to.

Looking at that the conclusion was that judgment ended in 1948. What about the Tribulation coming is that not wrath and judgment? How did judgment end in 1948?

The issue is not the date or any specific date. The issue is that when God restores Israel it is after they get saved and after He returns. When He does that it will be obvious. He will destroy their enemies etc etc etc. Nothing remotely similar to 1948

Hi daddd

Sorry, but I disagree that's what the Scriptures teach on the subject. Have you even bothered to check the math? Or are you just out of hand, because that's your talking point, dismissing my understanding of the Ezekiel and Deuteronomy passages, without doing any checking? If that's the case, then so be it.

Prophetic Evidence For The Return Of Israel

Check it out! I actually read one teacher's take on it where he actually determined what day it would happen in 1948. He uses this same methodology, but figures out exactly what day the discipline started and comes to exactly! May 14, 1948.

It's really pretty awesome, but it takes one's understanding that God is still in control of His people, Israel.

Then we also have Daniel's account of the 70 sevens, which tells us exactly when Jesus would be here. All perfectly aligned with the days that Jesus walked among us.

God bless,
Ted

Here's the full and complete post. Please show me where I was replying to a quote? It's a link!!!!!!!!! It's not a quote. And it's a part of my post that I looked up and posted for your discernment. Although I see that you've only been here a couple of days and so I'll give you the benefit of the doubt that you don't know all of how the mechanics of this site works.

Let me be the first to educate you on it. There are quotes, which is when one highlights someone's post and then 'quotes' it in their post to let readers know what their thread is responding to. Then there are 'links' that one brings over from other internet sites that support a position. They are two separate things.

Hi again daddd
What about the Tribulation coming is that not wrath and judgment? How did judgment end in 1948?
No!!!!!!!!!! The tribulation is Satan and the people of the world, coming against the believers in Christ, Jesus. It is not the same as the references in the Scriptures to the 'wrath of God'. They are two separate times supported by two separate entities. However, the release of God's wrath does come shortly after the days of great tribulation like as has never been seen before, or ever will be.

Look, there's a really good book on the subject if you're interested: "The Sign" by Robert VanKampen. He's long dead now, but his book is really pretty eye opening concerning this difference when the Scriptures speak of the days of tribulation vs. the days of God's wrath.

No, the born again will suffer on this earth. They will suffer the days of great tribulation brought about by the world standing against christians or anything to do with the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. However, after Jesus then comes to receive those who are his, out of the great tribulation, which you might recall is what the angel tells John about all those he sees in heaven at one point, then the angel comes that follows after Jesus. That angel will swing his sickle to harvest the earth and throw all of his crop into the great winepress of God's wrath. The first one spoken of in the Revelation of Jesus Christ 14:14-20 is Jesus. He comes first and swings his sickle and harvests the earth, that's Jesus coming to collect those who are his.

On the issue of the 'prophesy' and the math this is what comes to mind. The conclusion of the matter must be true and sound and biblical. The conclusion of that 'prophesy' interpretation was that in 1948 the judgment ended for Israel. The truth is that is is hardly begun. So why do mental contortions and strain to try to to a date when judgment ended if the date is clearly not when judgment ended? Perhaps you could explain how it ended then?

Usually on a debate forum people make a point or two in their own words and use a link as support in case we need to check the source.

From your link

"1948 AD! End of judgment against nation Israel"

Explain how the nation of Israel had judment ended in 1948?

You really aren't going to do the math are you? Ok. Yes, according to God's word, and I trust it completely, God's judgment on Israel, for their continued unfaithfulness was to end.

“For a brief moment I abandoned you, but with deep compassion I will bring you back. In a surge of anger I hid my face from you for a moment, but with everlasting kindness I will have compassion on you,” says the LORD your Redeemer. Isaiah 54:7-8

Then Isaiah continues:

“To me this is like the days of Noah, when I swore that the waters of Noah would never again cover the earth. So now I have sworn not to be angry with you, never to rebuke you again.

Finally:

“See, it is I who created the blacksmith who fans the coals into flame and forges a weapon fit for its work. And it is I who have created the destroyer to wreak havoc; no weapon forged against you will prevail, and you will refute every tongue that accuses you. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and this is their vindication from me,” declares the LORD. (bolding mine)

God's people, despite their faithless hearts, have God's mercy and compassion. God is going to love His people, Israel, to the end. They are the ones who made the whole plan of God's salvation possible. They're the one's who wrote down all the words, that still today, we each and everyone who knows the Lord, learned from the writings of His people. So, despite Israel's pretty regular unfaithfulness, God still loves Israel and He isn't put off over their faithlessness. He rebuked them and punished them and now God's anger towards them is diffused.

God bless,
Ted

That is a pretty good response.

IMHO the moment was the 400 years of silence right before the coming of Jesus. Pentecost restored Israel.

The flood stopped time (in a sense), till the flood was over (no contact with earth).

Any posters
Did 1948 have a moment and a great blessing?

Not sure what this has to do with your claim that judgment for Israel ended in 1948? They continue to offend and disobey and accrue judgment. The only way anyone escapes the wrath of God is by Jesus. They did not take that escape hatch in 1948. That is the heart of your complicate 'prophesy' interpretation. All math is useless if the equation ends in a complete falsehood. I enjoy real bible numerology. Real prophesy.

HI @dadd

God did not 'say' that Israel would no longer face judgment in 1948. The last seven years of Daniel (and to some extent all times before such as Hitler etc) are trials for Israel. The final seven years is known as the time of Jacob's trouble. Also known as the wrath of God. Also other names such as tribulation, time of trial etc. One primary object of the trials and judgments of this time is Israel. So judgment for them did not end in 1948!
