We are told: "“Come, I will show you the bride, the wife of the Lamb.” Jesus is the lamb of God.

Yes, that is the difference. To Israel Jesus is their Passover Lamb with a capital `L` as a title. For the Body of Christ Jesus is as a lamb (small `l`) who paid the price for our sin.

People try and take what is said for Israel for us, and then get in a muddle.

I am confused and perhaps this is the issue that confuses people the most. when teachings meant specifically for Israel are applied directly to the Church. David expresses in Psalm 51:16 that God does not delight in sacrifices alone: "You do not delight in sacrifice, or I would bring it; you do not take pleasure in burnt offerings."

This verse highlights the idea that God values a repentant heart more than ritual sacrifices. In the next verse (Psalm 51:17), David emphasizes that the true offering God desires is a broken and contrite heart.

There is confusion between the word Good under the law and the word Right under Grace. Maybe you can help us to understand what it is that God wants from us.

Israel had to do the sacrifices which were looking to Jesus as the final fulfillment and to obey God`s Law which actually revealed their sin. However, God didn`t just want Israel to do the sacrifices and think that they covered their sin. God desired Israel to have a repentant heart, as David realized. Jesus also told the people of Israel that it was just not about obeying the Law, (the Pharisees did that) but that it was a matter of the heart. (Matt. 5: 21 - 48)

As believers in the Body of Christ we are blessed because Jesus has paid the price of sin and we therefore don`t have to be under the Law for Jesus has fulfilled it. As we walk with the Lord He enables us to have a pure heart before God. If we sin then we repent and are forgiven.

Not sure what you mean about `good` and `right.`

Paul explains this in Romans, and he goes back to teach us what David says in the Psalms. David’s Psalms highlight that being right with God is not about perfection but about seeking Him, repenting, and living in faith. We can be good under the law. Religion can be good. But to be right with God requires the Blood of Jesus.

Revelation 7:14 states that believers have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb, signifying spiritual cleansing and redemption. The idea is that through Jesus' sacrifice, believers are purified and made worthy to stand before God, just as a bride prepares herself for her wedding day.

You are quoting mostly Old Testament passages which have to do with Israel. The Body of Christ is never mentioned or known about in the Old Testament.

The Old Testament saints are the ones who were promised the city. (Heb. 11: 16)

The Bible states that God hates divorce in Malachi 2:16, which says: "For I hate divorce," says the LORD, the God of Israel. "He who divorces his wife covers his garment with violence," says the LORD of Hosts. So guard yourselves in your spirit and do not break faith."

I had a priest in the Episcopal Church tell me this is Spiritual and not literal. I did not agree with him. Six months later he got a divorce and six months after that He died from HIV. That was over 40 years ago. I am still here telling people that God hates divorce.

Actually God's grace carries us up through physical death to all who are His own, raising us up on the last day to be with Christ for all eternity.

God`s Word is all about Christ, His character and His Purposes for - Israel and the Nations and the Body of Christ. it is for us to read and learn from but NOT all about US.

Israel lost her right to be called Gods chosen people, (God did save a faithful remnant), as they fell into idolatry worshiping other gods as they allowed themselves to fall from Gods grace as they followed the lust of their own hearts as they practiced Judaism, 1 Kings 9:1-9. God’s judgment against them led them to be captured, 605 – 537 B.C., by Nebuchadnezzar and taken into Babylon for seventy years while Nebuchadnezzar’s army killed many Jews in Judah and Jerusalem destroying the whole city of Jerusalem including the first Temple that was built through King Solomon’s reign in Jerusalem.

God gave Israel 490 years to repent. They were set free from Babylon when the Medes and Persian conquered Babylon (Chaldean's) around 538 B.C. They were allowed back in the land and to rebuild the city of Jerusalem, however, they still did not repent for their sin of idol worshiping and they continued to receive punishment from God as the kingdom was taken away and eventually taken over by the Roman Empire. Malachi Chapter 1-4.

The 490 years were up and many of the Jews not only did not repent but they killed the very Messiah they had been waiting for as well as in 24 A.D. they made an opened display of rejecting the Gospel message as they stoned Stephen being the final messenger that was sent to give them their last chance to repent. The Jews were now rejected as God’s chosen people and were no different from the Gentiles as from that time forth each individual, Jew and Gentile has to make their own decision to accept or reject Jesus as Lord and Savior, John 3:3-7; Romans 10:9, 10.

God still waits for those (Jew or Gentile) who have yet to repent and turn back to Him, but the time is coming when it will be to late when Christ returns for His Bride.

A remnant is usually 10%. God saved one third of Israel, and I believe He will save one third today. But for me, only 10% serve God and represent God. We are told many are called, but few are chosen. They want to be used, but they are not willing to pay the price of Holiness and Sanctification to be qualified to be used by God. He watches every word they say, so that can also be difficult.

Zechariah 13 8And in all the land, declares the LORD, two-thirds will be cut off and perish, but a third will be left in it. 9This third I will bring through the fire; I will refine them like silver and test them like gold. They will call on My name, and I will answer them. I will say, ‘They are My people,’ and they will say, ‘The LORD is our God.’”

He sets an example for the husband in marriage. Husbands are to die to self and sacrifice himself for the sake of his bride. But in the flesh it is just the opposite; he wants the women to submit to him and all of that. As the spiritual head he is to set a Godly example for his family.

Do you think God made a mistake when He told Abraham He would make a "nation" from him? Do you think God did not know the problems that would be associated with assembling an entire nation of faith?

Remember what happened when the people rose up to play after Moses had taken them out of Egypt?

Exo 32.9 “I have seen these people,” the Lord said to Moses, “and they are a stiff-necked people. 10 Now leave me alone so that my anger may burn against them and that I may destroy them. Then I will make you into a great nation.”

Israel, as a people, turned against Moses as if he was a "failed prophet," and used that as an excuse to indulge their carnal interests, their sexual perversions, their desire to control what their god says. But instead of calling for their destruction, Moses interceded for them. That's the heart of a true man of God, a true prophet.

God really didn't intend to destroy Israel, because he knew that Moses was like Himself, being patient with the people and willing to forgive them until a faithful people could emerge from within the whole nation to mold a complete nation of faith by.

Incidentally, the only time Moses really erred in his journey through the Wilderness was when he did lose patience with Israel. He slammed the rock twice to call forth water from it, showing his own emotion rather than God's patience. God did not want us to lose patience with those God has targeted to do work with.

So God was saying that He could make a whole nation from one man of faith, namely Moses. But Moses deferred to others in Israel, because he believed God could arrange to have a strong remnant of faith from which to build an entire nation.

No, God intends to have a "nation," and not just a remnant of faith. He will build the whole nation around principles of faith so that an entire nation will fulfill what God promised to Abraham. God will never break His word.

In our time Israel is still in her "time of national punishment." Even though God has graciously allowed the Jews to return to their land they are still under punishment. God is letting the world abuse them, to hopefully turn some of them back to Himself.

The time will come when Christian Civilization will completely collapse, and that time is not far off. This will be the time when all nations threaten Israel's destruction. But God will save a remnant, and remake a new nation of faith with the return of Christ. That's my interpretation of biblical prophecy, and I'm sticking with it! ;)
