What do you mean by Satan is on a leash?I do agree that Satan does have to get permission to sift a Christian.Satan had to go before the Throne of God to sift Job.I do think that Satan still has access to the Throne of God.

that is why I cant see the need for the millennium as taught. god does judge nations. if hitler lived, and died, would he escape justice? man decress justice and often the innocent are punished not the guilty. case in point. the fact that in Chicago. possession of a firearm and not even aiming it to kill but simply having a gun will get you more time then if get one illegally and take a life.

I read and re-read the whole chapter and commentary. There's nothing that changes the blood atonement. And for now in that chapter and the time it talks about it looks like 'the law' will stay the same as in the NT for believers, only unbelievers won't be able to continually(or even once) do harm to believers.
"Before the Lord" does not necessarily mean in the third heaven before God's throne.

live holy and the devil has no way of tempting you and you sinning. he will then be under your power given by the authority of god. this isn't like what is often taught by pentacostals but rather that we will have a more peaceful life.

Some people believe it is a 1,000 that is a symbolic number but is real literal yrs., not spiritual or exactly 1,000.

1000 years is not literal it signifies a long long period of time so 1000 could be eternity because no one can envisage 1000 years

This is a literal 1000 earth years but if all goes well we won't be here to see it. Example: the year 2019 - 3019. The Beloved City is New Jerusalem. This is The Place Jesus was talking about when He said:
"In my Father's house are many rooms. If it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you? 3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you to myself, that where I am you may be also".
Jesus is about to come back here and roll this whole place up like a scroll. He will kill all the wicked with a command and take all of us back to where he came from which is New Jerusalem. 100 pound hail stones will be crashing down and every mountain and island will be moved out of their places.The only life left on this planet will be some vultures eating the flesh of the wicked who will be laying all around with nobody to bury them. For 1000 literal years the Earth will make Mars look like Hawaii. What will we be doing there for 1000 years? We can only make an educated guess. I would imagine meeting our Maker will be quite the experience. Meeting all the Holy Angels, famous Bible personalities and become reunited with family and friends. I imagine we will finally get the chance to understand the Bible without the "help" of theologians. What if some of the people we thought would be there are not there? I think we will need that 1000 years to become educated in God's Great Plan. Paul said: "Don't you realize that we will judge angels"? I imagine this will be the amount of restitution that the demonic angels recieve. Then after 1000 literal years Jesus will bring New Jerusalem back with us in it. The Beloved City is big, it will just fit inside of the moon.
All believers will be raptured and the nonbelievers will be left to inhabit the tribulation.Those believers who survive the tribulatioin will then go into the 1000 year millenium and I am thinking their will not be many left to go over into the Millenium as bad as the tribulation will be.

I used to think like this too. Is this the traditional dispensational view? I read The Late Great Planet Earth when I was 11. There was just too many questions raised with this story. Revelation seems to be describing the destruction of the planet. I think that the 7 trumpets and bowls are literal destructive events that will almost do us in. Then at The Second Coming we have the Earth staggering like a drunkard, 100 pound hail stones falling and the biggest earthquake of all time moving the islands and mountains out of their place.
Another thing to think about is where in the Revelation story are the prophecies of Ezekiel to be found? There is only a sort of off the cuff mention of Gog Magog. No wolf shall dwell with the lamb or child putting his hand in the viper’s den to be found in the Revelation story. How come? It's almost as though God had 3 prophets operating at the same time but He seemed to be giving Jeremiah, Ezekiel and Daniel different prophecies. Daniel matches with Revelation but Jeremiah and Ezekiel don't seem to mix. I'm not a member of any church group nor can I find an "ism" or "ist" that I can agree 100% with. I will pick various doctrines from all the churches that sound true with scripture and as far as the 1000 years of Revelation 20 goes, the SDA general conference seem to have it about right.
