    US vs the World

Israel only survives because of American support. They simply don't have the resources to be a major player.

    US vs the World

Take over? No. Destroy? Yes. However, within the next 5-10 years the US will be completely transformed; it will either no longer exist or will be changed forever. Not a chance.

Sex education, 'good or bad for our young ones'?

Bad, and indicative of a deeper problem. The modern liberal world has cheapened sex into something that exists for our own pleasure and is treated like recreation. They created a society where those who don't have premerital sex are mocked and treated like losers, forcing those who aren't...

I would like a Christian perspective on population?

It's our problem too, as non-Christian nations become overpopulated we ship them into Christian ones by the millions. At the current rate in only a few decades Europe will have a Muslim majority, and how do you think they'll treat us when that happens?

I would like a Christian perspective on population?

Of course, then we'd give up all of the agricultural land in Texas and everyone can starve.

I would like a Christian perspective on population?

Yes we have one, but it's of our own making. Look at Africa. Africa can only support so many people, but when their population gets out of control and people starve we send them tons of food. What do they do then? Why, make more babies of course. So then they have even MORE people, they...

    Certain professions get me worried.

So, God should send a prophet every time a leader is doing something naughty? That argument is so weak that I consider it disposable. David was never cursed by God for the other killings, he was for Uriah.

    The Ten Commandments

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8YX-gqRdK_8 I've always wondered what was on that third tablet. I bet it was something awesome, like free ice cream on Saturdays.

    The Ten Commandments

The 4th commandment in the Jewish and Protestant commandments is the 3rd commandment for Catholics. You shall remember the Sabbath and keep it Holy = Remember to keep holy the Lord's Day.

Sunday 'Church' tradition vs. small groups

lol, that works too. Whatever floats your boat.

    The Ten Commandments

It depends on how you look at it. I tend to take Jesus' "the Sabbath is for man" stance to mean we're allowed to do things that we truly enjoy, we just can't work. This is like kicking back and watching football wall stuffing pizza in my face. Well, not quite that good.

Sunday 'Church' tradition vs. small groups

I see where you're coming from, but most churches have a bible study available; usually after the service. That may be the small intimate group you're looking for.

Dressing for church services/ What we wear

Don't get too caught up in the details, simply wear the best you can. God doesn't care what you wear, any standards of dress are imposed by man. You should do your best to make those around you comfortable but what's most important is that you are there.

    The Ten Commandments

They aren't as different as they initially appear. If you simply read them straight down you'll find that they are the same commandment simply divided at different places. For example the Catholic First Commandment includes the text from both the First and Second Jewish Commandments. At the...

The prophet came after the fact:

    Certain professions get me worried.

That was on account of his heinous murder of Uriah and adultery with Uriah's wife Bathsheba. David didn't kill just to protect his people or the Word of God, he killed for lust and greed. If you ask me, God went light on him.

Bible Study Has Judas Iscariot gotten a bad rap?

That line has always actually troubled me, it reads like something tacked on without authority. It makes an assumption about motive that the writer couldn't possibly actually know and if it was true he was stealing from the money bag then he obviously would have no longer been trusted with it...

What's the purpose of this thread? Is it to compare people serving in out military with pornographers? If so, shame on you.

    mormonism

Because many different Christian faiths have different views of the trinity and many have been unitarian. Other Mormon beliefs stray much farther from Christianity.
