I have a critical question for you

Sparrowhawke, BAC is my cute little abbrev. for Born-Again Christian. Okay, let us see if my thread re: Jesus' gospel and Paul's gospel is posted.

I have a critical question for you

No one has a comment re: how Paul's gospel compares to Jesus' gospel? Most BACs think they are presently actually all of the following because of misunderstood Scriptures and false teachings: justified, righteous, holy, eternally saved, etc. But, throughout the NT we are told to BE all of...

I have a critical question for you

While we are having a very private discussion about Paul, perhaps we might agree that no one else here seems to be interested in what Paul has to say ... re: his dozens of warnings/threats about BACs walking away from their salvation. I am preparing a new thread ... which compares Jesus' view...

I have a critical question for you

Okay, if you insist ... but I see Paul saying one must be a slave of one or the other, so if one doesn't choose #1, he is a #2.

I have a critical question for you

Sparrowhawke, 3 generations of (greater than normal) anger problems ... you all had (have?) a demon of anger. Satan and his demons COMPEL people to continue in their weakness. This is why you say the anger is habitual ... very difficult to overcome. I suggest you search out a deliverance...

I have a critical question for you

IMO, the sanctification process is primarily about being led by the Spirit in overcoming sin. NO ONE who is a habitual sinner will see heaven! At the time of one's death, one must have co-operated with God in overcoming sin.

I have a critical question for you

Greetings, my brother ... IMO, the victory of being an overcomer is by following this passage ... 1 John 1: 8 If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. 9 If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all...

I have a critical question for you

“Do you not know that to whom you present yourselves slaves to obey, you are that one’s slaves whom you obey, whether (slaves) of sin leading to death, OR (slaves) of obedience leading to righteousness?†(Romans 6:16) Were you aware of the above? Paul says there are ONLY 2...

The New Testament is only about God’s elect

God is omnipresent (everywhere), omnipotent (all-powerful), omniscient (all-knowing). He created all angels and humans to have free will. And He saw everyone’s free-will decisions before the foundation of the world. God’s “elect†are defined here, as well as their destiny “For...

Who really will be saved is quite nicely hidden in Scripture!

2 Thessalonians 2:13 God hath from the beginning chosen you (i.e. the elect) to salvation through sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth I will wager that the underlined in the Greek are in the continual tense ... to be continued until death! The elect are described in Romans...

Who really will be saved is quite nicely hidden in Scripture!

God hid various spiritual truths in Scripture because He knew they would really trouble some people. He desired that they keep a positive attitude and not lose hope of heaven, which would also make them better citizens of the world! Re: conflicting doctrines in Scripture … God has not lied...

John 15:2-6 proves damnation can follow salvation

Actually, there are 3 kinds ... "believers" --- believe intellectually, etc. but never were born-again non-elect BACs --- born-again, but somehow fell from grace and salvation elect BACs --- those special ones whom God foresaw (as in Romans 8:28-30) Please make your call and election sure...

John 15:2-6 proves damnation can follow salvation

Yes Moderator here..reba This attempt to claim folks who believe the OSAS doctrine are not saved will not be tolerated. We are welcome to disagree with other members. The line however is drawn at voicing a condemnation of those who think/ believe/etc as bit different, then ourselves.

John 15:2-6 proves damnation can follow salvation

What's the problem? People elsewhere have come up with all kinds of crazy rationalizations to refute this!

John 15:2-6 proves damnation can follow salvation

John 15: 2 Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit He takes away; and every branch that bears fruit He prunes, that it may bear more fruit. 3 You are already clean because of the word which I have spoken to you. 4 Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of...

A super-short summary of God’s plan of salvation

This is one man’s view of what the OT and NT reveal about man’s salvation. Scripture references are available for each and every fact below. Note: “The hard sayings of Jesus” are balanced by Paul’s many encouragements, edifications, and exhortations, which are mixed in with all of his...

Salvation is all about Grace > Faith > Obedience

The New American Standard Bible is widely recognized as being the most literal English translation. New American Standard Bible … John 3:36 “He who believes in the Son has eternal life; but he who does not obey the Son will not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him.” The translators...

God calls you to be an overcomer by living a holy life!

Of course they have never believed it ... because it is not in Scripture! Would you care to show us some verses that teach: believe in Grace alone ... through faith alone ... in Christ alone. Caution #1: I have dozens of passages which will disqualify any that you find. Caution #2: Paul...

God calls you to be an overcomer by living a holy life!

You continue to miss my point that ... Man has NO free will to choose to be chosen, called, etc., but man does have the free will to reject that call any time during his lifetime! To elaborate ... Man can choose to not obey God's commands! Man can choose to not co-operate with the Spirit in...
