John 15:2-6 proves damnation can follow salvation

Believing is obeying. If you don't believe, you won't obey. Jesus said, why do you call me Lord, and you don't do what I say. This is the work of God, that you believe...

Right, and that work of God will express itself in how we live our life...I agree, along with the rest of your post #78.

...but it seems my comment got us a little off topic - apologies.

The Gospel of Presumption!
One of Webster's definitions of "faith" is complete trust; which Webster's defines as: reliance upon the truthfulness and/or the accuracy of.

Those of us staking our futures on the Bible's sayings are the ones accounted as having faith. People afraid to stake their futures on the Bible's sayings are the ones accounted as lacking faith. In other words; those lacking faith do not trust the Bible's sayings and look upon those of us who do as presumptuous; which Webster's defines as: taking liberties; viz: audacious. rash, and insolent.

People often miss the point of the 22nd chapter of Genesis; thinking it teaches God's supposed abhorrence for all manner of human sacrifice when it is so obviously meant to convey the quality of Abraham's reliance on God's words instead.

If Abraham was to go on to generate a posterity through his son whose numbers would be too many to count; then God would have to restore Isaac to life in order to make good on the promise; and according to Heb 11:17-19 Abraham was counting on that very thing. In other words: Abraham's willingness to kill his son validates Gen 15:2-6 where it's stated that Abraham believed God.

It takes courage to stake a life on the Bible's sayings; and those who chicken out are destined to find themselves quite literally on the outs.

†. Rev 21:8 . .The cowardly and the unbelieving will be in the fiery lake of burning sulfur. This is the second death.

What is presumptuous is to believe all the good things the bible has to say about those who are faithful and obedient, and disregard and ignore the warnings and examples of those who were unfaithful and disobedient and lump everyone together in one category of those who are blessed;

as the scripture says as though the drunkard could be included with the sober.

and again -

'I shall have peace, even though I follow the dictates of my heart'

That is the very pinnacle of presumption.

Thank you for proving OSAS is false!
Hopefully you not will continue to teach or support the doctrine called OSAS.
Yes

This attempt to claim folks who believe the OSAS doctrine are not saved will not be tolerated. We are welcome to disagree with other members. The line however is drawn at voicing a condemnation of those who think/ believe/etc as bit different, then ourselves.

There are two kinds of "believers" --those with eternal life; and those without eternal life.
Which are you?
Actually, there are 3 kinds ...

"believers" --- believe intellectually, etc. but never were born-again

non-elect BACs --- born-again, but somehow fell from grace and salvation

elect BACs --- those special ones whom God foresaw (as in Romans 8:28-30)

Please make your call and election sure!
Please work out your salvation with much fear and trembling!

These are 2 good warnings!
But if you don't care for them, there are dozens of other ones!
