    Your right, it is an old movie. It was released in 1953. A TV series was developed and aired in the 80's as a direct sequel to this movie. All the action takes place in southern California, and the climax occurs with the main characters in a church.

    who excited?

    From my understadnding, this film is going to be a bit closer to the original nature of the book. If so Depp is an excellent choice for playing the character. The book had a much darker tone then the first film and JD does have the acting ability to pull off a much darker, more demented character.
