    That's a good point, but I wouldn't want to be the guy who asked and offended them. The better thing would be to risk that on the chance they really do need help, but I guess I'm not that risky a person.

    Well said. I agree, so this thread is closed. Half of what I read here amounts to denying and accusing things having been said. This is a deeply emotional subject, particularly following a horrible tragedy. It appears too sensitive a topic to be discussed calmly and respectfully at this time.

    Perhaps my wording wasn't great. I just meant discussions having anything to do with Christian living, faith, theology, whatever. To Allen's point, sadly, some may determine the state of someone's heart based on what they wear to worship.

    I disagree as well. I can't say someone wouldn't respond that way if someone's response to either question was yes, but we take that chance whenever we have the audacity to state our opinion on faith matters. Some say it's a forced "work" to say you must believe to be saved.
