I remember the song that says: Abraham's Blessings are mine. :) people like singing and humming and dancing it. I wonder if they also sing: Abraham's sufferings are mine. :dunno :shrug :confused [Also, to be like Jesus in Love, Power, etc...(how about in suffering, humility)]

Well its the goodness of God that leads men to repentance.

We suffer with Christ, in this world because of the gospel! not because we are like the pharisees who love to be seen as suffering. Now the gospel is the Good news and includes the blessing of Abraham. Get the blessing and then you will understand the suffering that comes with the gospel.

It is satan that brings the trials against the Word and faith of Abraham. You get to be in doubt and unbelief and act as if you are suffering for the gospel, Which many do!

No the gospel is the truth that Christ has overcome satan and sin and sickness. satan comes to destroy that message!

Because he knows if people are allowed to believe the truth, he will lose his power over this world.

Those who speak of suffering and humilty, are usally very full of pride in what they do of themselves.
The Humble are those who have no confidence in their own works or ability and trust only in the grace of God!

FOR GOD GIVES GRACE TO THE HUMBLE!

Paul warns us against those who neglect the body and are in false humility? He says that this is of no value against the lust of the flesh.

No the humble man is the one who has died with Christ and thinks nothing of his religious works.

We are to go through suffering with joy and gladness? How can one do that unless they have sang the song of Abrahams blessing and believe it in their heart?

I have suffered much for the gospel, I may suffer more?I hope I will do it with a song in my heart and with Abrahams blessing upon me!

Or it may be that the suffering is past for me? I will rejoice either way, by the grace of God!

deutermony 28? i see that you been to some form of pentacostalism lately? the problem i have with that is well.uhm most charismatics say the church isnt isreal and yet claim often what is for isreal.

its the blessings of God's son and his blood that is why we have any blessing. our sins arent imputed on us.

Genesis 12:
1 Now the LORD had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father's house, unto a land that I will shew thee:
2 And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing:
3 And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.

Put your own name into these scriptures as the promises made to Abraham are also ours through faith that is Christ Jesus.

Yes, we do sing and dance to the blessings of Abraham as we are taken out of our sin (country or natural state) and separate self from the darkness of sin (kindred, fathers house meaning a sinful world) by that of grace (land being that of Christ). God will make us a great witness (nation meaning one body in Christ) as God blesses us as he did Abraham and our name will be written in the Lambs Book of Life (name great) and we as Abraham will be a blessing to others. Those who bless us God will bless them back and those who curse us God will curse them and in us allowing the light of Christ shine through us (and in thee) all people of the earth that will see Christ in us will be blessed.
