Absolutely Useless Trivia...

Can i get an Amen ? :toofunny What was sinful was Pat Boone doing Richards music...:gah

A Christian radio station that plays music a lot like KLove, but also includes music from Skillet and Disciple, as well as other harder rock Christian bands.

They are a national station and I think you can find them online.

Knotical:

Quite a few folk on here like Disciple and Skillet.

Some people would describe them as outstanding examples of Christian hard rock, with Biblical lyrics, often.

Blessings.

I know, and I am not saying anything against them. I think you misunderstood the purpose of my post.

How about Jerry Lee Lewis?

Being a pentecostal, you must have loved him.

I liked Liberace best.

Jerry Lee is more honest then his cousin...:)

Shirley Temple? I was about to guess Clara Bow. Huh, learn something new every day.

Can anyone tell me where Colorado got's name?

Hmmm, like most states in this country I would guess it is an indian (native american) name. No?

Sounds very Indian.
But of course, there must be a catch.

You would think so, but it is not. Not far off though, for it is a foreign term. The name Colorado is derived from the Spanish words for Color, and Red. Because of the red rocks and soil here. Early settlers and prospectors on the trail to take part in the Colorado gold rush were told to travel west until color red was seen and that was it. Google "garden of the Gods" and you can see what I mean.

More Colorado trivia. Colorado has the worlds highest suspension bridge. What is it's name?

There is a catch! (good catch!) The catch is, poor communication. English speaking folks meeting spanish speaking folks and asking directions with a language barrier. "Color Rojo" was the simplest way to describe where they were going. Color Red! Colorado.

The song America the Beautiful was inspired from a lady who traveled to the summit of Pikes Peak near Colorado Springs and was taking in the view.

What two foods that are likely in your cupboard right now were invented right here in Colorado Springs?

I didn't know foods were invented.
I guess I have a lot to learn.

I'll guess.

1. Buffalo wings.

2. Indian pudding.

3. Air Force stew.

In the 1890's, Shredded Wheat cereal was invented here, and in the early 1920's a local restaurant created and served a dish that became so popular, it was eventually canned and sold in supermarkets. That product is called Chili!

What is the oldest tourist attraction in the Pikes Peak region? I'll give you a hint, it's estimated to be 450 million years old!
