Absolutely Useless Trivia...

It's got to be someone's fruitcake.

How did you know?! LOL

No, that would be Cave of the Winds. It's a very beautiful cave and worth the tour if you come to visit us. If you come to visit it and like caving, drop me a line and I may be able to arrange a deeper tour tour unavailable to tourists. One of my good friends is the greatest unknown caver in existence and is on search and rescue for the COTW and has keys and permissions to go in almost at will. I have a standing invite for me and/or my friends to do such if I want. Come prepared to get dirty and no youngsters. Age and maturity is negotiable in a pretty strict way.

the word Miami means tepee in the Seminole Language. the Word Okeechobee means big lake in Seminole.

That it is. We had some friends come out from Ohio to visit and took them there to see it. My friends wife cried and did not want to walk across it. She went back to our car to wait for us. Only after I went and talked to her and pointed out how many people were crossing it without dying would she come back out to cross it finally. They also have a big herd of tame deer in the park and a little store that sells bags of food pellets to feed them with. We got a bunch of cool pics with us petting the deer and standing among them one year and made a Christmas card out of one of them...and a lot of people back in Ohio accused us of it being fake so we were proving it to them. Very fun day at Royal Gorge.

Out on the Royal Gorge bridge you can feel it swaying in the breeze. I noticed it was suspended by a series of banded smooth cables about the thickness of a clothes hanger. :shocked! A little unnerving but it has been there for a long time without falling down.

Anyone know Colorado's state song or the State motto?

Colorado's official state song is "Rocky Mountain High" by John Denver ...hehehe ............. or it could be "Where the Columbines Grow"

Colorado's state motto: Nil sine numine = Nothing Without the Diety/ Nothing Without Providence

(And it's fun to drive the Royal Gorge bridge :praying )

Wow, Very good! Extra points for knowing the real Colorado State song, Rocky Mountain High! (sic) :lol

I've even seen Rocky Mountain Bighorn Sheep in the wild here. What a thrill that was! Many people don't know it, but while they think the Bighorn Sheep & mountain goats are such good mountain climbers, that they really routinely fall to their death from falling from cliffs from losing their footing.

Dunno how this turned into a trivia question thread, but here's another. Let's leave Colorado and go back to the Music industry, shall we? On this day (May 7th) in 1966 The Mamas and The Papas made the climb to the top of the Billboard pop music chart with their song, ____________? For three weeks this song stayed at the top of the charts. The tune was the second hit by the group - just two months after their first, ______________? These two songs would be the only number one hits for the group, though they made it to number two with ____________?
Name the three songs.

Think about that when ever you cross that bridge :wave

You can talk to God and listen to the casual reply

It made me sad when I heard that John Denver died. :( He was cool. I hope he was saved but I have no idea.

Matt Dillon never married Miss Kitty

Yeah, what was with that? He should have. I know he liked her. I wonder why he didn't? Her profession perhaps? He was one of those upright noble and virtuous type of men, but still he clearly liked her a lot. I don't think they even had dinner or dated in the show, did they?
(I remember my grandma used to say, he could park his boots by my bed anytime!) GRANDMA!! :shocked!

Answers:
1) "Monday, Monday" .... can't trust that day ....
2) "California Dreamin'" (officially, according to Billboard, this song only reached #4)
3) (This is)...Dedicated to the One I Love" (March 1967)

Shazamm! Very good and entirely correct. I liked them, they were cool (The Mamas and the Papas).

Here's a tough one for you:

If you throw a red stone into the blue sea what it will become?

Ah, but Edward, if you toss a rock into a body of water, it sinks. Therefore, it is drowned. No more sunshine & vitamin D for that rock.

But hey, if that rock rolls ... you might ask more Billboard-related questions !

(hint hint)
