After Death/Now or Later - Rest/Judgement or Heaven/Hell

Every single heaven or hell experience that is in the bible is real. Anything outside of that is fake.

Paul is our prime example, If God did not let Paul tell of what he saw and experienced in his revelation of Heaven, why would He let Joe and Alice tell us about it?

So all these people with heaven and hell testimonies were just out for money? Thousands of testimonies. What about Elijah and Enoch?

Elijah and Enoch are biblical.

I said anything OUTSIDE of the Bible is Fake.

I see that Slave for Jesus posted right before me. He/she has a good challenge for us all. If it contradicts the Bible in anyway it is a fake. And if each account does not prove every other account and is not verifiable with the information we have IN the Bible. we have to discount it ALL.

one man's opinion out of seven billion. who says there isn't biblical proof that God sends people visions. blessings.
If it's seven billion people's opinion versus God's.. then may every man be found a liar and GOD be true. We must test everything against Scripture and keep what is good and true. Surely God sends men visions, you see this currently with many in the Muslim world who are coming to Christ through dreams. However if we have an account of what heaven and hell are like that are contrary to Scripture and one another I will seriously doubt it's authenticity.

Besides Hell or Gehenna (valley of the sons of Hinnom) is in regards to the final judgement, Hades which is the Greek translation of the Hebrew Word Sheol is the intermediate state for those not in Christ and in the OT it is described as a place where all the activities of life cease, and the soul goes into somewhat of a sleep. Both the righteous and the unrighteous went to the same place in the OT before the Messiah came and brought life.

Notice in the account of when Saul had a medium speak with Samuel from the dead, he was wondering why he was disturbed him from his resting. It wasn't until the some of the exhilic literature like Daniel came out that they started to develop thoughts of an afterlife where the righteous and unrighteous would awake to God's judgement on the last day.

I'd have to say that the after life is one of the things most evangelicals are most off on when it comes to Scripture, we've been influenced too much by a western-medieval understanding and yet Jesus used specific pictures of Sheol and Gehenna that had immediate significance to Jewish culture and Paul who was an apostle to the Gentiles NEVER uses these words to describe the judgement of the wicked. We should seriously spend more time to understand these words in their historical context and not just read so literally apocalyptic literature that is foreign to us.

Thats all I was giving you Urk, my opinion. Insignificant in the whole scheme of things really.

I believe that the Word of God that Has been Given to us is Sufficient in ALL things. I believe that i do not have to go outside of that for anything in this Life.

IMO if we Do not think that the Bible is enough and we need to go outside of it to get a "Better picture" is dangerous. But that is Just my opinion, and I see nothing in my studies to change that opinion as of yet.

We are all at different levels in our walk and I hold no animosity or judgement for what you believe.

It's just interesting i guess, the world is interesting. I had read 23 minutes in hell and the boy who came back from heaven this year and the authors back up what he says with scripture, so i dunno. What to believe, what to believe.
