ezrider, it's not that we are looking for sin as you don't have to look very far for that in the world, but that of what is produced by sin that we keep safe guarded from its deceptions.
We are created in His image which means we were created in the likeness of Gods righteousness and holiness, Ephesians 4:24. God is spirit and has no physical body, John 4:24. This is why He always appeared in a pillar of smoke, a burning bush and even an Ass to speak to His people.
1 Corinthians 15:50 Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruptible.
This is why we will be changed from this mortal to immortal and this corruptible changed to incorruptible as we are given new glorified bodies when Christ returns, but yet we will not know what we will be, but will be like Christ in His glorified body, 1 Corinthians 15:51-54; 1 John 3:2, 3.
Angels are essentially ministering spirits, Hebrews 1:14 and do not have physical bodies like humans. Jesus declared that a spirit hath not flesh and bones, as ye see me have, Luke 24:37-39. Angels have no gender, Matthew 22:30, and are innumerable, Hebrews 12:22. They can take on human form at times, Genesis 18:2-8, for the purpose of ministry.
I can truly say, agree to disagree...Thank for a good discussion though.
But as far as changed to immortal, only the over comers are changed to immortality, those who did not, although changed, will still have a mortal soul, meaning they can die the 2nd death, which is the death of the soul.....
Thank you also for a good discussion even though we do not agree, but just want to leave you with this:
Rev 20:11 And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them. 12 And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. 13 And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works. 14 And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. 15 And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.
Death and hell are the second death as there will be no more death or need of the grave after Christ returns and those not found in the Lambs Book of Life will be cast into the lake of fire
Revelation 20:12"And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works."
Notice there are two sets of books here. The first called "The Books" is to judge the unsaved. The second is the "Book of Life" where only the names of the saved are recorded. The saved have had their sins removed from God's judgment and booted out. Though they were committed, the blood of Christ has covered them from being used against us.
Notice how all souls are judged "according to their works". Does it talk about faith here after the Millennium? No. The "great white throne judgment" will not take faith into consideration. The first resurrection takes faith into consideration. That was back on "the Lord's day". That was Jesus Christ's "great day". On the last day of the Millennium age, souls are judged by works only.
Why are you judged for works only? Faith is something hoped for but unseen. You don't see Jesus Christ on earth today, you will see his wonderful works, and be led by Him and His Spirit in the Millennium age. Today He is in heaven and not walking on this earth. However, in the millennium, He will be on earth, and all will have full intelligence, with full recall and will be taught. The Heavenly Father honors all those with grace, that have accepted His Son by faith through repentance without Christ's physical presence here on earth, if you believed in His Word.
To those who are not under grace in the Millennium, their salvation will be only through and by their works. For faith doesn't exist to them. There will be no ignorance, physical handicap, for you will see, know, and experience Our Lord first hand.
If you follow the Antichrist, the first Christ to appear, you will have forfeited your salvation in this earth age. You will not be under the grace of God, and your works will be the only thing that matters on the last day of the Millennium, the day of judgment. They will be judged by works alone, for they have seen Jesus Christ, and are without excuse. The "rapture theory" leaves believers defenseless against Satan, for they will be taken in by Satan's deceptions.
The Bible never defines just one Antichrist, but says even now there are many, 1 John 2:18. We have to remember that Satan is a created spirit and needs to work through others in order to build his literal kingdom here on earth. This will be a Luciferian political, economic and a religious power that will sit upon the mount of the congregation in the sides of the north which is Jerusalem and cause the greatest falling away from truth, which is an abomination of desolation unlike any other.
Jesus said those who will endure in the faith of Christ unto the end the same shall be saved, Matthew 24:13. Satan said, I will ascend into heaven; I will exalt my throne above the stars of God (other ruling powers) I will sit also upon the Mount of the Congregation in the sides of the north (Jerusalem). I will ascend above the clouds, I will be like the Most High, Isaiah 14:12-15.
2Thessalonians 2:3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;
2Thessalonians 2:4 Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshiped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God.
The last antichrist, (as there have been many and even now are in the world), is the son of perdition being the false prophet that Satan works through as he will sit on the sides of the North declaring himself as being God and will cause many to bow down to him and take his mark as many will believe the signs and wonders he will show, Rev 13. Again, nowhere in scripture does it capitalize antichrist, but mans misinterpretations capitalize it and makes it one Antichrist.
In the KJV antichrist is not capitalized. It's when you get into the newer versions of the Bible that some words are different and can change the whole meaning of the word. The last antichrist is the son of perdition, 2 Thessalonians 2:3-12, who is the beast false prophet out of the earth in Rev 13.Little children, it is the last hour; and as you have heard that the Antichrist is coming, even now many antichrists have come, by which we know that it is the last hour.
1 John 2:18

Is that antichrist coming or is 2 Thessalonians 2 in the past.
The Antichrist, the main one in the Bible who is the False Messiah, of 2 Thessalonians 2, is the one that God uses to deceive those who refuse to love the truth.
The reject Jesus as Messiah, and are wanting to rebuild the temple in Jerusalem so their "messiah" will come.
Look at this verse that shows us, that it is God Himself send them strong delusion, because they did not love the truth.
11 And for this reason God will send them strong delusion, that they should believe the lie, 12 that they all may be condemned who did not believe the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness. 2 Thessalonians 2:11-12
This false messiah will be personally destroyed by Jesus Himself; by the brightness of His coming.
And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord will consume with the breath of His mouth and destroy with the brightness of His coming. 2 Thessalonians 2:8

WrongThe sons of God in Job were clearly Jobs sons assembled at one anothers house....
Wrong
Job 1:6 Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan
Job 2:1 Again there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan came also among them to present himself before the LORD.
"One another's house" is not "before God"
Those sons of God in Job 1:6; 2:1 that presented themselves before the Lord are followers of God just as Moses followed and worshipped God and was called of God to present himself before Him on mount Sinai, Exodus 34:2. Read Job 1:6 again. It says Satan came also among them when they went to present themselves before the Lord. This means Satan was there like he is with all of Gods children to try and buffet them. If you go back to vs. 5 you read that it was Job who sent his sons (sons of God) to go and be in the presence of the Lord that God would sanctify them. Satan, being a spirit that Job's sons could not see came among them as a buffer trying to interfere with God sanctifying them. When God asked Satan where he came from he said from going to and fro in the earth and from walking up and down in it.
If they were just regular people why were giants born of them?
23. "THE SONS OF GOD" IN GEN. 6:2, 4.
It is only by the Divine specific act of creation that any created being can be called "a son of God". For that which is "born of the flesh is flesh". God is spirit, and that which is "born of the Spirit is spirit" (John 3:6). Hence Adam is called a "son of God" in Luke 3:38. Those "in Christ" having "the new nature" which is by the direct creation of God (2Cor. 5:17. Eph. 2:10) can be, and are called "sons of God" (John 1:13. Rom. 8:14, 15. 1John 3:1). (*1)
This is why angels are called "sons of God" in every other place where the expression is used in the Old Testament. Job 1:6; 2:1; 38:7. Ps. 29:1; 89:6. Dan. 3:25 (no art.). (*2) We have no authority or right to take the expression in Gen. 6:2, 4 in any other sense. Moreover, in Gen. 6:2 the Sept. renders it "angels".
Angels are called "spirits" (Ps. 104:4. Heb. 1:7, 14), for spirits are created by God.
That there was a fall of the angels is certain from Jude 6.
The nature of their fall is clearly stated in the same verse. They left their own oijkhthvrion (oiketerion). This word occurs only in 2Cor. 5:2 and Jude 6, where it is used of the spiritual (or resurrection) body.
The nature of their sin is stated to be "in like manner" to that of the subsequent sins of Sodom and Gomorrha, Jude 7.
The time of their fall is given as having taken place "in the days of Noah" (1Pet. 3:20. 2Pet. 2:7), though there may have been a prior fall which caused the end of "the world that then was" (Gen. 1:1, 2. 2Pet. 3:6).
For this sin they are "reserved unto judgment", 2Pet. 2:4, and are "in prison", 1Pet. 3:19.
Their progeny, called Nephilim (translated "giants"), were monsters of iniquity; and, being superhuman in size and character, had to be destroyed (see Ap. 25). This was the one and only object of the Flood.
Only Noah and his family had preserved their pedigree pure from Adam (Gen. 6:9, see note). All the rest had become "corrupt" (shachath) destroyed [as Adamites]. the only remedy was to destroy it (de facto), as it had become destroyed (de jure). (It is the same word in v. 17 as in vv. 11, 12.) See further under Ap. 25 on the Nephilim.
This irruption of fallen angels was Satan's first attempt to prevent the coming of the Seed of the woman foretold in gen. 3:15. If this could be accomplished, God's Word would have failed, and his own doom would be averted.
As soon as it was made known that the Seed of the woman was to come through ABRAHAM, there must have been another irruption, as recorded in Gen. 6:4, "and also after that" (i.e. after the days of Noah, more than 500 years after the first irruption). The aim of the enemy was to occupy Canaan in advance of Abraham, and so to contest its occupation by his seed. For, when Abraham entered Canaan, we read (Gen. 12:6) "the Canaanite was then (i.e. already) in the land."
In the same chapter (Gen. 12:10-20) we see Satan's next attempt to interfere with Abraham's seed, and frustrate the purpose of God that it should be in "Isaac". This attempt was repeated in 20:1-18.
This great conflict may be seen throughout the Bible, and it forms a great and important subject of Biblical study. In each case the human instrument had his own personal interest to serve, while Satan had his own great object in view. Hence God had, in each case, to interfere and avert the evil and the danger, of which his servants and people were wholly ignorant. The following assaults of the great Enemy stand out prominently :--
The destruction of the chosen family by famine, Gen. 50:20.
The destruction of the male line in Israel, Ex. 1:10, 15, &c. Cp. Ex. 2:5. Heb. 11:23.
The destruction of the whole nation in Pharaoh's pursuit, Ex. 14.
After David's line was singled out (2Sam. 7), that was the next selected for assault. Satan's first assault was in the union of Jehoram and Athaliah by Jehoshaphat, notwithstanding 2Chron. 17:1. Jehoram killed off all his brothers (2Chron. 21:4).
The Arabians slew all his children, except Ahaziah (2Chron. 21:17; 22:1).
When Ahaziah died, Athaliah killed "all the seed royal" (2Chron. 22:10). the babe Joash alone was rescued; and, for six years, the faithfulness of Jehovah's word was at stake (2Chron. 23:3).
Hezekiah was childless, when a double assault was made by the King of Assyria and the King of Terrors (Isa. 36:1; 38:1). God's faithfulness was appealed to and relied on (Ps. 136).
In Captivity, Haman was used to attempt the destruction of the whole nation (Est. 3:6, 12, 13. Cp. 6:1).
Joseph's fear was worked on (Matt. 1:18-20). Notwithstanding the fact that he was "a just man", and kept the Law, he did not wish to have Mary stoned to death (Deut. 24:1); hence Joseph determined to divorce her. But God intervened : "Fear not".
Herod sought the young Child's life (Matt. 2).
At the Temptation, "Cast Thyself down" was Satan's temptation.
At Nazareth, again (Luke 4), there was another attempt to cast Him down and destroy Him.
The two storms on the Lake were other attempts.
At length the cross was reached, and the sepulcher closed; the watch set; and the stone sealed. But "God raised Him from the dead." And now, like another Joash, He is seated and expecting (Heb. 10:12, 13), hidden in the house of God on high; and the members of "the one body" are hidden there "in Him" (Col. 3:1-3), like another Jehoshaba; and going forth to witness of His coming, like another Jehoiada (2Chron. 23:3).
The irruption of "the fallen angels" ("sons of God") was the first attempt; and was directed against the whole human race.
When Abraham was called, then he and his seed were attacked.
When David was enthroned, then the royal line were attacked.
And when "the Seed of the woman" Himself came, then the storm burst upon Him.
(*1) The word "offspring" in Acts 17:28 is quite different. It is gevnos (genos), which means merely kin or kind, our genus as being originated by God.
(*2) In Hos. 1:10, it is not beni-ha-Elohim, as here, but beni-el-chai.

Nothing of what this website mentions is about giants nor about the sons of God, (the actual angels) having sex with any earthly female. How does one define a giant other than their size. My husband towers over me, does that make him a giant as his siblings are way shorter then he is. Angels have no gender so how can they procreate, Matthew 22:30, and are innumerable, Hebrews 12:22. They are incarnate in human form at times, Genesis 18:2-8, for the purpose of ministry. Angels also express emotions, Luke 15:10,, are wise, 2 Samuel 14:20, and powerful, Psalms 103:20.
I stand by my post #72 and we are getting of topic so if you want to start a new thread on this I will be happy to take this up with you there as this thread is about the antichrist.
I wish I could like your post. I agree 100%The Bible never defines just one Antichrist, but says even now there are many, 1 John 2:18. The father’s business!!!! The Lord brought that scripture to my mind last night. That is pretty cool lol. Again I couldn’t agree more. This forum needs a like button lol,Yes as we see more devastation on a global level instead of a localized level. We have to be patient and know everything is in Gods timing, but until then we must be about our Fathers business.
This is exactly what is happening now, the great falling away. It’s so sad and frustrating to see. Their eyes are only concerned with what they CAN see than what they CAN’T.People will believe anything that makes them feel good as part of this world, but yet neglect the Spiritual things from above where God sits on His throne. God said it, the Holy Spirit revealed it and that's good enough for me.
Would not anyone who is not a Christian be considered an Antichrist?
