I'm not looking for health advice, lol. I take a lot myself...Orthomolecular. Its from the 50s (back then, they called it MegaVitamin Therapy...for mentally ill people).
I was just thinking...like, the mainstream media loves some supplements (fish oil stands out) but seems to come down hard on others (vitamin E, lately). Meanwhile...
...most of us are left wondering who or what to believe, especially since mainstream coverage is usually simplified, put into sound bytes, so if its a meta-analysis or whatever, we don't get too many details. Also, the news people don't usuallly come down too hard on Rx meds. For instance...how many of us know how antidepressants often fail to outperform placebo by a significant amount? Then again, there are problems with supplements. There's not much data behind a lot of them, and the available data is sometimes not of the best quality. But...that's true of a lot of drugs, too.
Ugh. I'm just wondering if anybody has success stories to share w/ supplements for whatever ails you.
Thanks
