Are Calamities Judgment from God?

So God judged that babies, young children, animals, all had to die because some people sinned too much? But natural selection is just too cruel? That is flawed logic.

Were there babies, young children, and animals who died in Sodom and Gomorrah?
Were there babies, young children, and animals who died in the flood?

Yes if you take the story as literal. No if you take the story as metaphorical.

That explains why you don't think God would do such things. They are quite literal.

Isa. 55:8 For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD.

If you don't find them literal, then we are on opposite ends of of the spectrum.

I don't know if they are God's judgment, but after hurricane Katrina....

The Mississippi coast full of casinos, New Orleans full of sin, paganism, sexual immorality, excessive intoxication, voodoo.

Was God smiting the unGodliness? I have no idea, but I sure wouldn't move to Las Vegas.
I can agree with that! :P

God has the right to take a life in judgement, and who says those children are hell, but rather have been placed into the bosom of the lord.

no different then when a women aborts a baby.
both children are in heaven. and not judged.

i have known of women who have aborted and seen their kid with jesus in a vision.

I had always believed that God told us the truth.. that because of the first sin, that we all were to die. When or how is not the issue is it?? And after this, His only a way of escape came forth by the Eternal Plan of Salvation!
OK: do not we all still die because of that first sin? Both the saved in future time + the lost??

And the judgements of God? As in Job's case, did not satan tell God that Job was a true believer because God built a 'hedge' around him? So what took place when the Lord removed the hedge? In that we see two truths! You figure it out ;) .

And many times it takes the death of a family member for another one to be saved! (mom or dad could mean the salvation of daughter or son +!) And what mom or dad would nullify that for a saved son or daughter??

Also see Heb. 12:4-8 & re/read verse 8! :crying (sin of OMISION!?) This is a very GOOD STUDY for the time that we are now in as 'i' see it! (No, and NO Rapture! :screwloose )
