are Christians happier?

Yes. This IS a great truth.
Very good.

I always thought of the truth as being our being freed from the grips of satan - where there is NO freedom - through the knowledge of God and His Kingdom and how we should be a part of it.

"God loves us as much as He loves Jesus" encompasses every truth!

Just as Jesus' two commandments encompass all commandments.

Thanks Wrigley.
You're such a blessing.
Any chance you can convince my kids I'm a blessing

You're a blessing as well. Never forget it.

I don't know if we are any happier, but we sure have something great to hope for, and that brings joy with it.
Listen, were not immune to this world... $hit happens that's outside our control and it can take your joy, hopes and dreams. But that's ok, because we don't go through it alone and a better hope emerges through it, and with it, a greater joy.

It's hard to explain, because it's something one has to experience to understand.

I agree with this big time, lol. We do have a lot to look forward to. When I first started walking with the Lord again, I did not have the so called joy of the Lord. I thought that was strange and I felt...that I was missing it somehow. At first, most are very zealous when beginning to walk in the Lord. We want to do something and if God doesn't tell us outright, we do something ourselves. This never works and frustration arises and will lead to a distancing from the Lord. It took me awhile to obtain the joy of the Lord, and it was quite by accident (?). I can't do anything and it became clear. In frustration, I gave up. Boom. Joy. Lol!

Look back into the OT...God sends someone somewhere, and the first thing they do is to rest. To enter in the rest of the Lord. Even when Adam was created (created on the 6th day), his first full day was the Sabbath, a day of rest. Interesting.

Isn't that so true brother.
I've had glimpses of Gods rest in my life, but I'm finally feeling the rest Jerimiah must have had when he said, great is your faithfulness, your love is never ending.
Put those words with what Jeremiah was going through at the time and wow, that's joy.... but not like most think.

I hear ya, lol. I used to stress hard about money and bills. Money money money get the money give it away. I quit stressing about it, and guess what? I lived right through it. Perspective is everything. Being able to be content and rest in the Lord is the best medicine ever. :sleep
