The Hebrew word for "serpent" is nachash. The word nachash can mean serpent or shiny one used to denote angels. The word, as it appears in Genesis is "ha-nachash" that means "The Shiny One". Translated in this manner we are shown that Satan was not disguised as a serpent but came as a bright shiny one, an angel who came as a ministering angel to Adam and Eve. "The Shiny One" was more subtle than any beast of the field. Who this subtle, shiny Being is who tells Eve that God does know that in the day you eat the knowledge the tree contains, then your eyes shall be opened, and you shall be as God, knowing good and evil. The deception that took place in the Garden is of greater magnitude than what we can know actually took place. As always we must use Scripture to interpret Scripture are we given information that can confirm or deny that Satan came as something other than a serpent? You bet there is and it is a beauty. I just got nailed by one of those traffic cameras that showed I was going 25 in a 20mph zone. Hard to deny its your car with the picture sitting right there saying "Its you!" With that here is the picture of the one who deceived Eve in a beautiful 8 by 10 glossy that is found in Ez. 28:
11 The word of the Lord came to me: 12 “Son of man, take up a lament concerning the king of Tyre and say to him: ‘This is what the Sovereign Lord says:

“‘You were the seal of perfection,
full of wisdom and perfect in beauty.
13 You were in Eden,
the garden of God;

Your settings and mountings[c] were made of gold;

This amazing passage vs, 13 gives us information that has not been applied, misapplied or maybe the one who has attacked God's Word from the beginning has been whispering in translators ears saying this isn't me pulling off a greater deception on the Eve like Women of Israel and then the Church and both have bitten. The prophetic revelation given to Eve may be the peak for all other revelation. When you go to a ball game or a play there are programs so we may know who is who playing out before the viewers. So Scripture gives us the cast who is playing out the time in Eden. We know the Son of God came and walked in the cool of the day with Adam. We now have two identified The Lord and the Woman, Eve. The other man is easy to identify because Scripture tells us it is the Man known as Adam. There was someone yet to be identified for us and who will be called Nachash, which is applied to angels and is described as ministers of fire or an angel. This is what the fourth being, Satan, looked like in the Garden of Eden an angel a minister of fire sent to Adam and Eve as a minister. Satan didn't care for serving those who were made a little lower than the angels, Adam and Eve, and instead used his person and his office to deceive Eve.

The angel who had been given the position of leading the worship of the Lord how his pride must have caused him to hate leading the worship of God and then to have to lead Adam and Eve in their worship of Jesus Christ. This breastplate is not complete when looked at compared to the earthly High Priest. This breastplate had only 9 stones on it as compared to the High Priest who carried 12 stones representing the 12 tribes of Israel. My understanding of the three missing stones are the 3 tribes plucked up and removed in Zec. 7 on the evil shepherd's breastplate. Can you see how bright and shiny this angel of fire would have been if he had not been dressed like the High Priest but with works of the finest gold, precious jewels and the High Priests Crown of Jerusalem and Turban this must have been very impressive and persuasive being Eve tried to speak with. Then we are told this about him.
14 You were anointed as a guardian cherub,

Satan loves to wrap himself in religion Man loves pomp and circumstance. We love flags, parades and all the things of this world that the flesh just eats up. Uniforms, money, power and the list is almost endless. We are respecters of men and the meaningless glorifies that men use for importance. This was not the King of Tyre who did come as just a man. This was the guardian Angel, Lucifer, He was created by God as such. Here is something else I believe this passage reveals. The fiery stones are the other angels of fire and these things were on the Holy mount of God we know as Mount Zion or the Temple Mount. I fully believe that the Garden of Eden encompassed the original land grant The King, Lord Jesus, gave to Abraham.

If I can’t conceive it, then I probably wouldn’t be able to describe it.
I asked if you were describing that which is from the unseen realm how do you make someone who has never seen it have an idea of what it looked like by describing what cannot be understood and say there figure it out based on your knowledge of earthly things that has no real reference point to try and understand what is written. So the Lord used types, everyday things to teach spiritual lessons. Do you believe the locust the come up out of the Abyss are actually locusts? Those these things were told to and written to were given temporal things that could be grasped by a mostly uneducated people.

If Nachash is serpent in the Garden then it must be Serpent here as well. You have the untenable claim that Scripture taught that the Serpent would be lifted up, it was on one of the flag carriers shaped like a "T"
