Are women complements....

The Bible says that it is not good for man to be alone, I will make an help meet for him.

And what a help meet they are! God sure knows what he is doing eh?! Women compliment men in many many facets. Moreso when they are godly women. If I tried to list all of the good ways that women are a compliment to men...the post would be much too long, lol.

Let's just say, that my hats off to all of you good women out there. :)
 
There are some women who would not be a complement to anyone. They are evil, mean, lowdown, contrary, unfaithful, serving divers lusts, despisers of all that is good, covenant breakers, need I keep going ?
 
Gods will for woman was to be a helpmate to the man in every way, mentally, spiritually, emotionally, socially and physically. She was also created to bare the generations to come. A woman was not greater or less than the man, but was his equal.

Both of you are entirely correct, however, I think it is very important to focus on the positive with people. Many times people respond to how they are viewed and spoken of. I once heard an ex-convict talking and he was being very negative about everything. I said whoa bro, why so negative? He said, oh sorry, but I just got out...if you get treated like an animal long enough then you start acting like one. I found that very profound in a way. I think it's same principle with women (anyone really). Everyone needs positive reinforcement and we should all do our part to look for the good in people and focus on that. We are all bad, but we are all good also at least to a degree. Which seed will you water, the good or bad? ;)

On women and compliments to them...it's not hard to look upon and to find 'something' good about a person, even if they are mostly worldly, so yes give them compliments but I think that women hear so much compliments, that many of them come across cliche and are not taken sincerely. I noticed this awhile back and have taken to reserving many compliments to women and not giving them for the simple reason that (the women will notice) they will be taken as a line or cliche, and not as genuine. but if one withholds compliments, and only occasionally gives them...they notice that also and will appreciate the compliment very much more when they do get them.

Sorry... This is totally off topic, and it's not aimed at you personally, because I see this all the time. This is just me ranting. This is what happens when people insist on using a Bible that they don't understand. Not only do they themselves use a Bible they don't understand, but they often demand that others do as well. There is no such word as "helpmate" in the Bible. If you look it up in the dictionary, you'll see that it is derived from the word "helpmeet". But that isn't in the Bible either. The word "helpmeet" was based on a verse in Genesis.

And the Lord God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him. (Gen. 2:18 KJV)

It's two words, not one - "help meet". But since nobody understood what "meet" meant in this context, they made up the word "helpmeet", which later became "helpmate", or a mate to help him. But that's not what the verse means. The word "meet" in 400 year old English meant "suitable" or "fitting". Eve was a suitable helper for Adam.

Then the Lord God said, “It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him a helper fit for him.” (Gen. 2:18 ESV)

Negative contenders, Eveic in giving orders, not virtuous, etc lol. Joking tho. (not many try to complement, majority try to show: "we are superior")

This is very interesting. However was the physical frailty there before the fall?

the same as when he does believe, only much much harder. just like the directions to servants to obey their masters even if the master is ungodly, to obey just as if obeying Jesus Christ, and to suffer injustices the same way Jesus did, putting complete trust and confidence in God the Father , relying totally on Him to sustain you and uphold you and give you strength to endure.
 
The thought came to me tonight about being a servant towards my husband...
Not in a way as a slave, but love, like when Jesus washed the disciples feet sorta thing.
He (husband) has been practicing Buddhism for many years now.
We love each other VERY much. We really never fight... And we've been together 6 years now.
 
Yeah look at what my wife did to me' do you call this a compliment ? When she says wash the dishes that is just what she means.

Because society as a whole and most general and specific places overall and individuallly are under the direct control / power / sway of the prince of darkness. As Jesus said somewhere "society(mankind) is blind, stupid, and pernicious".

i.e. the world is not a basically good place to live, people wise. it is as in the days of Noah and Sodom and Gomorrah.

the world is a dangerous place to live full of traps and injustice and murderous thugs (many governments, and government officials, and "angels of light"(appearance ONLY) --- like medical/phrmk entities/drugMakers/hospitals/shr'eye'n'rs.

if, for instance, God had not given His Own Angels(true and faithful ones) charge over thee, ... ... ... ... well, let's just say you wouldn't be 'round to post anything on the internet. we'd all be six feet below deck already.
