Revive this thread, eh? Cool. I wonder...Shouldn't we all really be extroverts? Feed my sheep. Feed the poor. Take care of the widows and orphans...these are all extrovert qualities. Love our neighbor as ourself? Huh. Love is extrovert. One body, one spirit. If people had love, they could do away with the welfare system.
It's all over the old testament, new too to an extent. When the Israelites would conquer their land again (and again and again and again, lol) they would call up all of the people and apportion lands to the people and food and so forth. We are to take care of our own. Freely we have been given, freely we should give. Extrovert baby! Yeah.
I appreciate my alone time too though. Especially in this world, gag. lol.
I'm introverted, too, and actually you seem to have the best handle on the definition. Most people think it has to do with shyness (or lack thereof). It does not.
Yes, the big divide is between people who recharge by contact with others and those who recharge by some solitary time. I actually test out mixed on that, but I think I'm more in the introvert side, even though I'm fond of talking with people.
I'm definitely an introvert, sometimes it strikes me how asocial I am. I can definitely enjoy being around people, I enjoy working on teams and being in the company of people I'm familiar and comfortable with, but I love being alone.
