Arguing with God

Arguing with God.

I like paying strict attention to certain expressions made by our preachers at times. I try to know if they really meant what they said or if they said it unknowingly.

Argue with the Lord. Tell God why you think this is what it should be....stuff like that.
The word 'argue' sounds like: what you are doing isn't right - mine is right.

Is it right to argue with the Lord? And some would tell you you need to claim stuff from the Lord

you will never win an argument with the Lord and is just a waste of breathe trying to. Many Pastors teach a blab it and grab it sermon that usually consist of getting monetary riches, but this can only lead to greed or just flat out disappointment when ones doesn't get what they ask for and can cause one to fall away from the Lord. Only God knows what is best for us.

This came to mind when I read your post. Questioning the Lord.

Romans 9
20 But indeed, O man, who are you to reply against God? Will the thing formed say to him who formed it, “Why have you made me like this?”
.

Moses argued with God and won. God told Moses to get out the way so he could destroy the people. Moses said, "NO, destroy me first." Then God had mercy on them. There are times we can sway our Lord by our compassion for his creation.

I never was upset with God but, his creation. That was my great disappointment. The great imperfections of Man.
