There are so many theories of faith on this topic, that one cannot do justice to speak about it....neither so discuss it on my own website....it's more important to press together in Jesus, but for the wicked person, knowing the future and us telling them about trouble coming could help them seek the Lord....this is why we are given prophecy....
So I will give some prophecies just a few years ahead of us....
Jas 5:1 ¶ Go to now, ye rich men, weep and howl for your miseries that shall come upon you
.The Bible speaks of the rich men, the ones who truly rule our earth, Morgan, Rothchild, Rockfeller etc...
These men set up Federal Reserves and Presidents and Kings of he Earth....
Jas 5:3 Your gold and silver is cankered; and the rust of them shall be a witness against you, and shall eat your flesh as it were fire. Ye have heaped treasure together for the last days.
Soon the global value of money is going to canker away and fall to a world wide low...so low all of us will be brought to our knees , worse than the great depression era.
Jas 5:4 Behold, the hire of the labourers who have reaped down your fields, which is of you kept back by fraud,
It will get so bad our wages will not be paid, so labour Unions will come back to stem the corruption of money and the wages we are not receiving....these Labour Unions will become powerful, and will be used by Satan along with the Rich Men to scourge the earth...

The people and the Labour Unions crieth...and this becomes a great time of tribulation that begins here and gets worse....why ? Because it affects God's people....
and the cries of them which have reaped are entered into the ears of the Lord of sabaoth.
The Lord helps those who are his people and saves them from troubled time
Ro 9:29 And as Esaias said before, Except the Lord of Sabaoth had left us a seed, we had been as Sodoma, and been made like unto Gomorrha. 30 ¶ What shall we say then? That the Gentiles, which followed not after righteousness, have attained to righteousness, even the righteousness which is of faith.
Here we see times rapidly approaching Sodom, and GOD coming down to save those who are His own.
Jas 5:5 Ye have lived in pleasure on the earth, and been wanton; ye have nourished your hearts, as in a day of slaughter. 6 Ye have condemned and killed the just; and he doth not resist you.
The rich men are pleasure seekers and wanton in their ambitions, though they plan it does not come out the way they plan...
Jas 5:7 Be patient therefore, brethren, unto the coming of the Lord. Behold, the husbandman waiteth for the precious fruit of the earth, and hath long patience for it, until he receive the early and latter rain.
This time also speaks of the latter rain, when the Holy Spirit finishes the development of believers, be sure too Satan will do signs and wonders as well.
Jas 5:8 Be ye also patient; stablish your hearts: for the coming of the Lord draweth nigh. 9 Grudge not one against another, brethren, lest ye be condemned: behold, the judge standeth before the door.
Notice here as we wait for the coming of our Lord, he stands at the door to judge, and when He finishes judging His own He comes to collect His own.
Jas 5:10 Take, my brethren, the prophets, who have spoken in the name of the Lord, for an example of suffering affliction, and of patience.
So endurance and tribulation are good things for us, plants make the best sweetest fruit when undergoing tribulation. A hot finish for wheat makes the protein content highest, etc....
Now I have shown all prophecies for the end of time in one Bible passage, but there are others in Daniel and Revelation.
