I am so glad. Please join me in praising God. My darling club FC Barcelona defeated Real Madrid in our Supercopa. Messi scored 3 goals, villa1 and Iniesta1 in all.
Also Fabregas has won his first trophy in years! I can't stop crying! Tears of joy. I love Barcelona and I love God.

Who is like unto the LORD? He gave me victory. In spite of Madrid's truculence, takwando and rubgy system of football We won! Forever Barca! Barca, MORE THAN A CLUB!

ok, ironic, the city of barcelona is from that word barca meaning the son of thunder or thunder god, aka baal. i though this was some thread on ancient phonecian history at first glance.

Oops! I could have begun with the full title: Football Club Barcelona.

Classik, it's not football if there's not a Defensive End barreling down on the Quarterback and helmets jarred loose. What you have there is a little game called "soccer". One of our daughters plays soccer. :) Does FCB get juice boxes after their games too?

(just kidding :p)

he isnt american, they call soccer football (cause it is as well no hands are used it save the goalie).

rugby the mans sport, lol too bad i am not dumb enough to play that.:lol

Football sounds more 'ball' soccer is still okay. Rubgy? Jesus! That thing sucks. Rubgy is just Israel vs philistine war...back in the Old Testament.

While my darling club played soccer/Football, our rival Real Madrid played takwando and Karate and Rubgy combined.

Barca is simply fantastic - destroying both Manchester United and dismantling Madrid!

Yes, I know, Jason. ;)

Classik, you should really call it "soccer" to avoid people confusing your game with the greatest athletic battle in the wooorld! :salute

(still kidding :p)

okay. It is soccer. If you want to see something more terrifying than Rubgy just buy any Barca vs Madrid match/soccer/football. While one party plays soccer the other plays the Old Testament war

After the game:

Sandro Rosell: "I know what I’m going to say is politically incorrect, but we have given them a bath"

The FC Barcelona president believes that every Barça fan should be very proud of the way Barça played at the Santiago Bernabeu

Sandro Rosell: "It’s total happiness"

"I want to say it because it was fabulous, the whole world has seen that playing football this is the best team in the world"

"We're becoming used to coming here and getting good results"

Sandro Rosell was the living image of happiness at the end of the Madrid - Barça game. He openly admitted:"It's total happiness. It is a pleasure to lead this Club, all Barça fans should be very proud ... I know what I'm going to say is politically incorrect, and I apologise in advance, but we have given them a bath. I want to say it because it was fabulous, the whole world has seen that at playing football this is the best team in the world."

The trip will seem shorter

Following the 3-1 win, the President acknowledged, jokingly: "We're becoming used to coming here and getting good results." At the same time, he said that at the Bernabeu "we always have a hard time at the start," but then the team dispels all doubts: "We know that when we start moving the ball around, we're guaranteeda good game, we know the quality of players, and that they'll produce results."

So, Barça are travelling to Japan from Madrid with the League leadership in the bag. The head of the Barça expedition travelling to the World Club Cup has it all pretty clear: "The flight will seem very short, and I'm sure we'll enjoy it. We'll never forget this trip."

Yet another Catastrophic Slaughter: Madrid was demolished again on the 19th of Jan, a 2:1 win:

- Barça had 72% of the possession away to their biggest rival.

- In total, Barça made 744 good passes compared to Madrid's 234.

- Xavi completed 122 of the 140 passes he made. Busquets made 109 out of 117. The best Madrid managed was Xabi Alonso's 35 out of 40.
- The visitors had 10 shots compared to the home side's five.
- Mourinho's side committed 20 fouls, while Guardiola's made just 12. Madrid also had more yellow cards: 4 against 3.
- Madrid only had one corner and Barça had eight.
- Puyol scored from a corner at the Bernabéu, a very similar action to his goal in the glorious 6-2 win at the same stadium in 2009.
- The corner was also taken by Xavi, who is one game short of the record number of clásico appearances held by the legendary Joan Segarra.
- Abidal scored his second official goal for the Catalan outfit. His other was last season at the San Mamés, and also in the cup.
- Leo Messi made his 300th official appearance for Barça and was able to celebrate by setting upthe second goal with a majestic pass.
- The win means the teams are now tied on 86 wins each all time, while there have been 45 draws.
- Madrid have scored first in the last four meetings with Barcelona at the Bernabéu, but have not gone on to win any of the games. They have drawn one and lost three.
- Eighteen different Barça players have now scored this season.
- Gerard Piqué won far and away the most ball ofthe night, 16 in all.
