BELIEVE.....God's Prophets !

It's the 1000 year part I can't agree with the SDA.

So, if the earth is made a mess for 7 years, Christ cannot make it like eden again upon his return? I want to know where the reign on the earthly throne of David comes in if Christ never reigns here?

As you know I'm an SDA, and therefore a believer in the Bible truth 100%.
My first loyalty is to God, and to the Bible, as the ONLY source of truth.
HMMM, the problem is that
clear20word20bible20covdv5.jpg
is not the Word of God and
ellengwhitexf8.gif
is not God.

And apparently, to remain a modator on this forum site, one must be a supporter of that statement of beliefs, even if it is against what the Bible teaches.

So tell me. What part of the TOS is against what the bible teaches :-?

I've been a mod for several years now, and just recently there has been an amendment (2006), which is opposed to what the Bible teaches.

It is a Catholic doctrine, and I will NOT accept it !
Oh, is that right :-? , then why don't you find another forum to spew your poison in.

Now, I want to clarify right here, that Logan's original statement of beliefs, I believe in 100%......it is the amendment, I will NOT subscribe to, because it is in error !

Well, I aplaud the forum admins and mods for keeping you accountable.
I see you are also getting the smack down in the debate forum. You really should atleast try and answer the questions, but then again its obvious you are in over your head :-D

Matthew 24:37 But as the days of Noe [were], so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
24:38 For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark,
24:39 And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.

Luke 18:8 I tell you that he will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth?

One thing I would like to point out........

What happened to those who were not saved by getting into the Ark ?

They were destroyed were they not ?

OK then, if Christ's 2nd coming is to like the time of Noah's flood, what makes you think that there will be any 7 years ...AFTER ....Christ returns ?

Maybe you ought to read this.....
2:1 Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and [by] our gathering together unto him,

2:8 And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming:
2:9 [Even him], whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders,
2:10 And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.

Jay:

I'm not sure what you are driving at--- I did not say the 7 years took place after Christ's return, but before. I know these passages you quoted very well. And a logical arrangement comparing scripture to scripture comes up with the overall outline of the future I already stated. Anything else in any other order makes it into inconsistent illogical mush.

Are you quoting out of the clear word bible again? :-?
I have ever used the KJV, But then you'd have realized that had you read it.

I make no apologies for using the KJV, in fact I make no apologies for anything I quote from the Bible.
Matthew 4:4 But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.

The unspiritual self, just as it is by nature, can’t receive the gifts of God’s Spirit. There’s no capacity for them. They seem like so much silliness. Spirit can be known only by spiritâ€â€God’s Spirit and our spirits in open communion. Spiritually alive, we have access to everything God’s Spirit is doing, and can’t be judged by unspiritual critics.

You must and need to be born again

You must and need to be born again
I agree !

Just as Paul said: "I die daily".

To be born-again, one must first die to self.
And, that is a daily occurance, putting oneself in the backround to help others..
My needs must be secondary, and putting the other person first, ahead of myself.

Jesus Christ said: 'deny yourself'
Mark 8:34 And when he had called the people [unto him] with his disciples also, he said unto them, Whosoever will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.
8:35 For whosoever will save his life shall lose it; but whosoever shall lose his life for my sake and the gospel's, the same shall save it.

To die daily one must put the word of God first, before anything I want to do.
For example: I might want to watch some sports program on TV, on the Lord's day.....I must deny myself that want.

BUT, since sports is not my idol, I don't have that problem.

Born-again means to love what Christ loved...helping others, no matter what I want to do instead.
Born-again means to study the Bible, instread of watching some favorite TV show.

Being born-again means to live a lifestylr different from almost everything else that the UNsaved person does !

Which results in being a strange person to others......
Titus 2:14 Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.
2:15 These things speak, and exhort, and rebuke with all authority. Let no man despise thee.

So what happened to the 'real' prophets then?

A very debated topic, but I believe that once the Book of revelation was written, that was the end of the prophets....Do not confuse this with the gift of prophecy. These are two differant things....

The prophets I am speaking about are folks who heard directly from God to deliver his message. While God still speaks to us, he does not need a mouth peice because we have his complete written word....

Alright, let's see. On a scale of 0-99, with 0 being absolutely no way has God raised up any prophets since Revelations and 99 being yes I absolutely agree that He has, how sure are you of what you believe?

God has not raised or sent a prophet in the model of say John The Baptist, Elijah, etc......since his written word was complete.

No dought the Devil, Satan himself has sent hundereds if not thousands of ''False Prophets''....hence all the warnings through out the NT.....

When I hear of people or see people who call themselves prophets, I know they are false teachers.....

Again do not confuse this with the gift pf prophecy or the gift of tongues....they are differant......

If there are no true Prophets, then I guess there are no true Pastors, Evangelists, Apostles, Pastors, and Teachers. But Jesus did appoint these offices according to Eph. 4:10-11 and we find out why in Eph. 4:12. What say you?

Most Prophets will not call themselves a Prophet, but just like Prophets of old, they will be scorned and frowned upon. I believe Oral Roberts is a Prophet. I believe The late Kenneth Hagin was a Prophet because most of his prophesies have come to past. Of course, they can miss God at times, but if they are attentive to the Word and pray much, one can discern what they are saying to the church. You still haven't answered my question.

May God bless, Golfjack
