Two days of spring like weather and it snows today :thud

We still have the onion snow that usually comes in April so we are not done with the white stuff yet. The onion snow originated with the Pennsylvania Dutch culture and language. It refers to the snowfall that occurs after the spring onions are planted and comes at the time they start to sprout. This is a sign of the last of the snow for the season.

It's pretty cold here; over the past few days we've experienced some high winds. We haven't had much snowfall so far, however I'm not ruling out a flurry before Spring.

Well I got the bird feeder filled with fresh bird seed.
Put up the bird deterrent on the ledge where the sparrows nest. (They are messy and fussy and uninvited to return)
Now all I got left is the hummingbird feeder to fill.
It can wait as they ain't even on their way back yet. But there have been several finches running around already.

Me neither, because unfortunately we already got some yesterday. :thud
The US has more fluctuations in weather than we have here in the UK. Our weather is pretty standard; rain, cold and warm now and then. We avoid those massive weather fronts which the US receives every year.

Oh okay, what's a fluctuation? :confused

Our weather patterns have changed quite a bit in the last few years across the US. Actually, this has been the coldest tempts in PA that I have seen in many years. Definitely looking forward to warmer tempts so I can get outside and get the yard work done.

You'll find the definition here.

Actually I already looked it up and thank you. I was just asking you first because of the fact that you told me to let you know when I didn't understand something. I have just been really busy today that I didn't have time to respond before.

Hey guys, I just finished watching The Fox and The Hound, and as much as I love that movie there is one part stands out for me that just isn't accurate and that's the part when the widow Tweed leaves Tod in the woods. I realize that it's just a cartoon, but in reality he wouldn't have survived since he was raised as being domesticated.

Not a problem! :)

Got the doctors today! :sad
I am having difficulty hearing through my left ear; hopefully its nothing sinister, however I'll be praying for God's help. It probably hasn't helped that in the past I have been using cotton buds to clean my ears; naughty me!

I hope everyone has a great Monday! :)

Hope doctor can sort it out quickly Book Keeper He may be able to give you drops or perhaps syringe it out. Don't forget to let us know what happens.
Thank you!
I think it may be a blockage or perforated eardrum; I hope its the former. I will update you later today; the appointment is at 16:20 - I probably won't be leaving the doctors until midnight; they take ages. :lol

And the you will be given 10 minutes with the doctor before he/she starts looking at their watch :lol Hope it's not perforated, that can be painful. Will look out to see how you have got on (after midnight :smile)

Standing in agreement of your prayer and that it's only wax build-up. I use an over the counter wax remover called Debrox. It's drops you put in your ears when this happens. Don't know if you can get it there.

Thank you all for your messages of support.
I have just returned from the doctors; its an ear infection. I have been prescribed some ear spray (which suspiciously smells like vinegar). Hopefully it should clear up soon!

Ouch! I've had those before and they aren't fun at all. :sad A couple of summers ago I also got swimmer's ear. So far I seem to be in great health apart from sinuses and coming into allergy season,.. but I still have an annual checkup coming up just to make sure that there isn't anything wrong with me that I don't know about. :)

To be honest, I've had the symptoms for weeks; I have ignored them and hoped they would go away. I haven't had any check-ups in my life; I only go to the doctors when there is something wrong. I do tend to visit sites like WebMD and NHS before making the booking.
