Bugs - God's creatures

@God&DogGirl My moms got same kind of dog, Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. They are the sweetest dogs ever. I actually reside in Delaware too. haha, the factory infested smokey state.

But snakes are not bugs, I am thinking about moving to Elko Nevada, I could buy the land next month and that will be 40 acres. But snakes are making me slow to do it. My sister in law has just bought 100 acres and I want to move right next to them. But I don't like snakes and they are not bugs.

Those snakes hide in the sage brush,,,, but take heart Lewis...

Mar_16:18 They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.

I wonder why God created ticks and Mosquitos, I hate ticks, I contacted Lyme diease in 2007 from a ticks and hate them even more, it's probobly aged me 20 years and still having symptoms pop up, after reading I see that Mosquitos some ked fly and spiders may transmit Lyme diease as well. I believe after the fall of Adam it effected all creation and insects, i don't think God would've created blooding parasites when the life is in the blood.

Lewis W ... the only snake to really worry about in and around Elko is the rattlesnake. Elko would have many bull snakes though and they keep the rattlers away. Not all snakes are bad. (And, keep us posted if you wind up in Elko... if you do, we'll have to have a get together, relatively speaking, Elko is not all that far from me!)

Matthew G ... don't feel bad. I can relate. We have a 9' Boa Constrictor living in the house and in the past have had other kinds of snakes as well. I also will get rid of spiders, (since it turns out I'm very allergic to spiders, I basically kill all spiders. I used to carry non-poisonous ones outside, but not any longer.) I'm not the least bothered by praying mantises, in fact they fascinate me, as do most bugs... as well as lizards, mice, voles, there really aren't that many creatures I'm afraid of.

However, of all the most harmless creatures that exist on God's green earth... I am TERRIFIED of moths and butterflies. It's a recognized phobia. Mottephobia. I'm so glad it has that name. I don't feel so bad saying I have Mottephobia... that sounds rather medical and scientific. Much better than admitting I scream, cower and cry like a baby if a moth or butterfly gets too close. It's not as bad as for some people who can't even handle looking at a picture of a moth or butterfly... but if one gets in the house, I hide in a dark room until either my hubby or one of the kids gets rid of the thing.

Thanks Dora

That was all kinds of crazy! :crazy

As for bugs... I have a sinking, gut wrenching feeling that I might have brought home a *gulp* cockroach. I had decided to go back to using paper bags as opposed to the plastic, sort of forgetting that brown paper bags are a magnet for cockroaches. I used to see roaches in California all the time, but I haven't seen a cockroach in the entire 19 years that I've lived in Idaho... and yet I'm pretty sure that was one in the bathroom this morning. Let's hope it was alone and either male or didn't lay any eggs while it was here. I was just at the store last night, so hoping, hoping....

OK OK.. I have to add God did tell Isreal to kill the beasts along with the evil inhabitants of the land.. he even told them that he himself would drive out the beasts from the territory they were about to occupy. now remember what one of the plagues where for egypt? the swarming locusts the even the pestly mites in which the egyptian sorcerers did agree that none other the hand of God could cause such a thing. And in the book of joel there are several references to the hordes of consuming creatures that will devour the fields. It does say in Genesis that God did create every thing that creepeth upon the earth after his kind: and God saw that it was good.

However he said the animals were good allso yet he instructed to kill them. I submitt to you bretheren that as the scripture says ,............
Ecc 3:1 To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:
Ecc 3:2 A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted;
Ecc 3:3 A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up;

and with that much being said, if Gods insects are a burden to his people should they not be able subdue them ?
And if the world religion tries to portray the life of every living thing as sacred and should be given equality, meaning that bugs and animals deserve the same respect as human life shouldnt Gods people be able rightfully justly claim the importance of the human heritage,.. that is to be sons and daughters of the creator, after all it was man that was created in Gods image not bugs fish bird or animal.

However beutifully magnificent, wonderful, or amazing every one of Gods creatures may be ,... Why is it said that we are cherished even higher than the ANGELS.?

Something to behold the heritage of our kind. We are given the right to manage this planet, yet under the sinful conditions humans fail, and only destroy the earth. The plants and animals were created for us to rule the planet was created for us Look after by the will of God,
Gen 1:26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.
Gen 1:27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.
Gen 1:28 And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.
Gen 1:29 And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat.
Gen 1:30 And to every beast of the earth, and to every fowl of the air, and to every thing that creepeth upon the earth, wherein there is life, I have given every green herb for meat: and it was so.

We are to manage it responsibly and good management takes wisdom and decisiveness.

I would have to say that I believe God expects us to kill insects, fish, birds, plants, and animals when the season requires it. and I dont think thats a bad thing, as for me I kill every snake on my property and check them after they are dead, I shoot at rabits and birds in my garden I stomp stink bugs and horn worms after unclutching them from my plants, I soot and kill bobcats when they get the chickens, I do the same to cyotes when they get the goats, I kill every wild hog I have the chance to, I rid my home of every stinging insect that I can I only use poison on fire ants when they find there way in through the walls and my children wake up screaming because they ate a cookie in there bed and the ants have mistaken there flesh for cookie crumbs! I have four small children I believe God expects me to protect them and place the proper value of human life above and beyond all other life.

I do respect Gods creation. But we do have a proper role in the food chain.
And I have too add that out of all the insects the red wasp is my favorite they have pretty much taken up the role of the honey bee where I live and seriously if you are not afraid of them they generally dont mess with you

But the snakes have to go
Gen 3:14 And the LORD God said unto the serpent, Because thou hast done this, thou art cursed above all cattle, and above every beast of the field; upon thy belly shalt thou go, and dust shalt thou eat all the days of thy life:
Gen 3:15 And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.

If that was indeed a cockroach in my bathroom this morning, cockroach season is now required in Idaho!!! lol...

I agree with what you are saying. There is beauty and/or wonder in each and every creature that God created. But, I also believe that God would expect us to dispense with animals and bugs when they become pests or dangerous. I think of how wonderful the American Black Bear is... beautiful coat and fur, it's a scavenger, so it does help keep the forest clear of the dead and decaying... there's a lot of good in the American Black Bear. But, when my son went out to the barn to gather in wood and one was just on the other side of the wall from him... yeah, I did was I could to get rid of it and that most certainly would have included shooting the thing dead if we needed too. As it was, it took off before I needed to get the rifle.

Ok so Whats your favorite bug??

like I said I like the red wasp it is like the fighter jet of the insect world if I could jump in the cockpit of one of these things every black weirdow within 20 yards would be doomed.:armed
