By His Stripes we are Healed !

I'm not sure I get what you are trying to say in your post. Are you just affirming the Biblical message of healing?

The death of christ converts all to God whom He bore stripes for..Healing is spiritual conversion..
I couldn't agree more!

I read the first several pages and should have surmised it would have turned as quick as it did. Some have taken solid Biblical Theology and turned it upside down.

We have to start from the beginning. The first "sickness" was man's disobedience.

Gen 2:17 But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die...

Gen 3:4 And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die:

"We" took the "bait" hook, line and sinker! But did it result in a physical death? No, it resulted in a separation from our Creator. This resulted in being spiritually dead. A illness that could quarantine us from entering into the Kingdom of Heaven. One very common "theme", the main theme actually, throughout the Bible is God's redemptive plan to lift that quarantine from mankind. It came in the form of HIS Son and our Savior, Jesus Christ. (insert proper salvific doctrine here).

The "cure" for the curse of being denied entry in the Kingdom is now available to those who believe. Colossians 2:13 says:

Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross;

The ordinance which was lifted at the Cross was that eternal separation between God and Man. It was taken out of the way; Jesus died so that our spirit would be quickened... forever and so we could enter into the Kingdom... forever!

I'll take any illness God feels fit for me to endure in exchange for HIS Grace and eternal salvation HE has bestowed on the Believer.

John 19:30 When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, It is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost.

By His stripes we are healed... indeed! :amen

It is true that we can grow in weaknesses- even in sicknesses however we grow through all trials that does not mean Gods will is that we stay in the same trials for our whole lives and never believe God to be delivered from them.We can grow and learn and then move on and not remain under a curse or affliction or bondage that we have had. We see that what gives God glory over and over is when we testify of the work of deliverance or healing or provision He has provided for those who believe him.- We should love and serve Him in whatever state we are in, but we should not deny asking God for things that He shows in scriptures that He desires to give to his people.

Did C call you disease a curse? Yes because it is.- God can use all things for our good, and it is very true that God uses the good and evil for our good, but there is a time to suffer in faith and a time for the healing to be given.God is glorified when we trust Him through afflictions and sicknesses and He is glorified when we are healed by Him of things that the world says is impossible.WHen we study diseases in the bible, we see they are exactly curses. They came in the world because of sin and God has told His people that if they walk after Him he will heal them. But the NT tells us that the things preached to the israelites didnt profit them because they did not mix them with faith.

Deu 7:15 And the LORD will take away from thee all sickness, and will put none of the evil diseases of Egypt, which thou knowest, upon thee; but will lay them upon all [them] that hate thee.

Luk 9:1 Then he called his twelve disciples together, and gave them power and authority over all devils, and to cure diseases.

follower- i understand that at this point many of us you do not agree with but please understand that whether you believe we are wrong or not, we love you in CHrist Jesus and want all good to you.It is not that we do not want you to suffer. We DO desire that you suffer! but we desire that the sufferings you partake of, are that of CHrists sufferings in which we all in Him are to partake in to be His. We want you to die to self daily just like us, and learn and grow through trials and afflictions, to glory in weaknesses. BUT we desire that it be the kind according to Gods will, not according to the curses that are meant for His world.- It is this world that the law and curses and sicknesses and diseases and faminies and disasters are meant to abide continually on because they will not repent. But those things for us should be where we believe God that because we are holy and faithful before Him, that the law and curses of the law are removed from us so that we can concentrate on the kind of sufferings that WE as believers are called to.- We are called to be strangers in this world, to not store up things on earth, to be hated for His names sake, to be persectued, and plotted against. To be mocked and betrayed and to die to self daily so that it is Christ who lives in us and HIS image that we are made into.- Now you may not agree with what I am saying but that is not the point. The point is that we desire mercy for you from the curse- and the proper afflictions which will be more effectual to you to be those upon you.

I do not doubt that this sickness has worked for your good in Christ but it has also worked in you things not so good. You are angry and it is obvious to those who see you speak here. You speak terribly to brethern and mock and ridicule them. You tell them they have no part of you, dont know you, that you are not there buisness- That is NOT how we are to be to brethern whether they disagree iwth us or not, we are to love each other, to desire good and blessings and holiness for each other, to be of one heart and mind and speach. We are to esteem each better than ourselves. We are to be knit together in the unity of love and the Spirit of God.While this disease may be working good in you towards God in some ways, it is also working biterness in you and divisions which cause you to not draw unto brethern who just want good for you.- I am not going to speak anymore to you in this subject on this matter of healing but only pray that the Lord give you rest and deliverance and faith and grace and love to escape and be knit with His body more closely day by day. But I want you to know that no matter how much we do not agree- we have the Same LORD- and are part of the SAME body and we desire the promises of God to be applied to you always for all your good.

Good post :)

And I am done with this for now as well. I am sure that another thread will soon open about this, and it will continue. God wants us to know the truth, so that we can be free.

Last words...

I understand FoC's frustration. I understand the anger also. Whether or not it is righteous indignation is between him and the Lord. It's very hard for some of us to see it as others do. It's very difficult for a believer, especially a new believer or one who is a having a crisis of faith to accept your views. It's tough for most of us to believe that some people teach that their level of healing is proportional to the amount of faith when it's not even our faith to begin! It's the Lord's faith; He gives it to us.

The level of faith required to accept and believe in the kind of faith healing is also from Him! Actually, the gift of healing is separate from faith:

1 Cor 12:4 Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit.
1 Cor 12:5 And there are differences of administrations, but the same Lord.
1 Cor 12:6 And there are diversities of operations, but it is the same God which worketh all in all.
1 Cor 12:7 But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal.
1 Cor 12:8 For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit;
1 Cor 12:9 To another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit;
1 Cor 12:10 To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues:
1 Cor 12:11 But all these worketh that one and the selfsame Spirit, dividing to every man severally as he will...

... 1 Cor 12:29 Are all apostles? are all prophets? are all teachers? are all workers of miracles?
1 Cor 12:30 Have all the gifts of healing? do all speak with tongues? do all interpret?
1 Cor 12:31 But covet earnestly the best gifts: and yet show I unto you a more excellent way.

If you study your Bibles, you will notice that Acts does't mention healing after ch. 10 and Paul only briefly mentions healing a couple of time to the Corinthians. Why? Because Paul had the same problems with spiritual gifts in Corinth as we do today. :chin
