Can we talk about anger?

If your a liar, then your not a follower of Christ, nor will you see eternal life with our Savior. Truth is the cornerstone of our faith. If I can't trust you with the truth, then everything you've said should be considered a lie.

But as far as not answering, it is very possible that your speaking from a place of not knowing. Or, you could be speaking from a place of deep pain that you have not found your peace with yet. Or, it could be something else. I'm sure it's something else, maybe.
The important thing is the philosophy one has for when that time comes. That is what you will act on.

Exactly. This is when we look to Jesus for guidance. How does Jesus respond through anger?
When it comes to following Jesus, i.e. being a Christian, it's important that we act on what we believe. Equally important if not more important is what we believe. Because as you say, we will act on what we believe.

Now, you claim to be a Christian. But not only a Christian, but one who acts with authority when it comes to biblical truth and knowledge.

As a result, I would like to see the biblical precedence that affirms your philosophy as the primary response.

Just thought I would bump this thread again.
Have we purged all our anger now?
Do we all feel better ?
Are we back on track?
Now we can all return to the covid news updates. Daily stats and grim forecasts. How's the state of your state?
 
One of the sins that I commit is to transfer my anger rather than let it go. I take someone hostage. So today I got angry at my son. But then I had to apologize. I am still a little angry at Quantrill but it will dissipate soon. I'm praying about it. When it comes to bullies I have PTSD and he really triggered an episode for me. Underneath my anger is a more primary emotion. Fear ? People like him scare me. So right now I'm frightened that a world contains people like him. I don't know if that answers your question but that's what I'm feeling right now.

I disagree with your philosophy of when to use the gun and when not to. Simple. And the story you first told, reinforced my belief.

Quantril: Will you please stop bullying Edward. You always have to be right. What does being right get you. It certainly doesn't get you friends. I learned that the hard way. Why don't you just be nice and let others have their opinions.

As I said, not interested. I can tell you all day long of my experiences and you have no reason to believe or disbelieve them. In other words, when yall tell me your experiences, I don't just say that must be so because you say your Christian.

You and others like to complicate the issue. It is not complicated. I disagree with the idea of wearing a gun and then trying to figure out how not to use it. If you don't want to use it, don't wear it. If you don't want to use it and you do wear it....you are endangering others.

The dog attacked him already. He will attack another. It is true that if an 8 year old boy is the next one, the boy will be either mauled to death or scarred. The possibility is real.

So you're calling me a liar. I'm sorry to hear that because it's just, shows that you have no class whatsoever and that's out of character for someone calling them self a Christian. Do you have an agenda for why you talk down to board members so much? I sympathize with your circle of family and friends for you.
 
Quantrill. You refuse to believe that anyone else might have a valid opinion. It's like you worship your own concept of things. Only God knows the answer to these things. But I assume you know better than God. If he came down and told you not to shoot the dog you would shoot the dog anyway. I am feeding your need for negative attention because I'm really angry. But as I said before the real problem is that I'm terrified of e people like you. You have the power to hurt me. I don't like that about myself. I want to be stronger. I'm trying to stand up to you because I've been bullied all my life. I know a bully when I see one. You are not a real Christian. You're a scholar thatt calls himself a Christian. A wolf in sheep's clothing . You don't really belong here in my opinion. But it's not up to me.

Here you go again. There's a good possibility that the dog never ran loose again because I scared the crap out of the owner and he realized how close his dog came to dying. He went and bought a chain the same night because the dog was on it the next morning. When you keep repeating that stuff you do, it makes you sound like a 15 year old. You should grow up.

I am not seeking friends. Is that what you are seeking? Do you come on a forum to seek friends? You know what happens when you start seeking friends? You start saying what you expect they want you to say. You start not saying what you expect they don't want to hear. You become a 'yes' man/woman. Is that what you are?

I don't care if others have their opinions. I don't mind disagreeing with them either.

I'm going to go stuff my anger with a gallon of ice cream and try to move on. I have to give up my neef to have the last word. That's a hard one for me.

As a matter of fact I did come to this board to make friends. I wanted something fellowship in Christ. If I knew you were here I wouldn't have come. Fortunately I've only met one other person like you since being here. I respect your opinion and I respect Edwards opinion. I think they are both valid in certain circumstances. But I mostly agree with Edward that if the dog is just barking he should not be murdered. That shows the callousness on your part that cancels out the love of Christ. So as I said you're not really a true Christian you don't belong here. If you don't mind me asking why are you here?.

You and others keep talking about your anger. I am not angry. I am telling you what I believe to be so. I am not accusing you of any 'bullying' though I disagree with you.

I am not bullying anyone, yet you accuse me of it. Why? Are you threatened in some way? Why? Why are you so threatened?

Now you say I am not Christian. I am a wolf in sheep's clothing. I don't belong here. Nice name dropping.

I don't understand why you claim I am not Christian, that I am a wolf in sheep's clothing, and then say, you respect my opinion. You don't respect my opinion. But, you feel you need to say that. It looks good to all those friends you desire.

I'm here because it is a forum. I have studied the Scriptures enough to be able to present a view that I believe, and support it. That is why I am here.
