Really? Just one person? I find there is always at least one person I don't get on with in any group. Ok if they consistently wind me up, I might feel differently. Severe bullying should not be tolerated. At the moment Quantroll offers some entertainment value. I've seen much worse harassment online.

So what exactly do you mean by this then? IIRC, you said before that I make stuff up as I go along? It sure sounds to me as if you're implying I've lied. If this is not so then you should certainly clarify yourself.
If I was asking for your credit card number perhaps there may be a reason to be suspicious of untruths...but I'm not. I have no reason to lie to some largely ignorant young brother in Christ online. The discussion was anger and how it usually turns to violence and so what I had to say was relevant. That it has been shown to me by the grace of God, that you don't always have to shoot. Just keep the peace and safety.
I realize that Neo or Trinity would have mowed that dog down and afterwards probably the owner too. Even Bruce Willis would have killed the dog. But you have to shake that stuff off of you.
Life and truth is not like that. We've all been lied to. You can't learn how to be a man from television. The real deal is polar opposites of what they teach. How they have taught you to carry yourself looks bad on you brother. I hope you are able to grow and change. The Lord will even help you, just ask.

I'm sorry, but you're still not getting it yet. It is not a philosophy. It is a state of spiritual being, and in that instance, the Lord was with me and His Spirit gave me the unction, try to spare the dog. So I tried, and by the grace of God, everything turned out fine.
The gun is not our primary defense. Our Lord and God is our primary defense. Don't you listen to the voices inside of you? Are you able to perceive who is talking inside? Is it your conscience? God? Your carnal flesh? I implore you to know thyself. To cultivate your spirit and your relationship with God.

What does this mean? I've been accused of this as well but I don't understand what the accuser means by this statement. I personally don't believe I "always have to be right." All those opposed to me have to do is convince me I'm wrong. It takes two to argue and unless one either just gives up or admits they are wrong, the argument will continue. It's not about having to be right. It's usually about each side believing they are right until proven otherwise.
I did clarify. I said your stories grow. Did you lie? Did you tell the truth? I don't know. As I told another who wanted my story and I said no. You don't know if one is lying or not on a forum concerning personal experiences.
Again, my point is your philosophy of when to act, when to shoot, is flawed. You acted, according to your story, upon your philosophy, and hesitiated. I disagree with it. Which is why I said, you need to quit carrying cause you're going to get someone killed.
You can add to your story all you want. It doesn't matter. Whether I believe you or not, doesn't matter. You're philosophy of when to use the gun, I disagree with whole heartedly.

Again, this is proof why you shouldn't be carrying a gun.
You don't wait for voices to determine when you can or not shoot. You must know before the incident ever occurs what you will do and act on it. If you don't know beforehand, the voices in your head will get someone killed.
Trying to posture yourself as 'spiritual' doesn't help your case.

Humble Soul: I am on your side. Quantrill upsets me. But we should not make fun of him. He is not entertainment, he is a lost soul that is able to trigger me. Our best approach is to pray for him and try not to feed his need for negative attention. He reminds me a lot of myself before I came to Christ. I think he has immersed himself in the Bible because he really wants to be Christian, he is just not there yet. He knows scripture, but he is missing out on the message of love. But he is close and I hope he makes it over the finish line. We will all be waiting for him. At least I will.
I have this same condition, but for me it is mostly PTSD episodes about past trauma. I combine medication with cognitive behavioral therapy (positive thinking). When I panic I stop all activity, go like down, and pray to God. I attempt to go into a deep meditation. I somethings have soft piano music in the background. Most of all, I try not to panic about the panic attack. I just accept it as part of who I am. I give it to God. I cry to relieve my pent us emotions. I imagine the Jesus holding me the way he did when I was a child.
The world is a mess these days Kiwidan It is stressful just to be alive these days. I live in California where the state is burning down. Two tornados are headed back east. Covid-19 has killed thousands. The economy is in trouble and I think somebody just burned down the white house. Just kidding.
I am just saying you have a right to be ill at ease. Focusing on Jesus right now is the best idea. I spent the day re-arranging my alter.
There are almost an infinite number of possible scenarios to consider. How can you possibly determine how you would react in all possible situations? The truth is, whenever someone draws a weapon he/she must be prepared to use it lethally. Being prepared, however, includes using good sense to determine when or when not to actually use it.
I agree with Humble Soul. Depending on the outcome of the election I may move to Kenya. Life is very simple there. They are not materialistic like we are. They have Wi-Fi but no television. They have clean water but no shower. Unlike some American teenagers, the children really look forward to school and they study very hard because it's valuable to them. I want to get back to the simple life. Sometimes I miss being a hippie.
I think that is a good idea. Move to Kenya.
Strange though isn't it? All the Africans and minority races are trying to get to those countries run by the white race.. But, go ahead.

Let's not talk like that. God will meet us where we're at, and one thing that has never gone over well on this site is members saying other members are not Christian. Some would say your not a real Christian either. I've been told I'm not a real Christian. Hopefully you get my point.

You challenge my post but you don't say anything about how rude Quantrill is. He has insulted me and many people on this board. Only God knows if he's a Christian or not. But I do know that he is really hurt my feelings and that usually means I lash out in anger out of habit. I can't ignore what he is doing. So I guess you just have to keep deleting my posts and let him say what's on his mind even though it is very hurtful. I'm talking about equal treatment here.

I bet I come across as a fake Christian to many on here. Because my faith is weak, I don't quote scripture, I express a lot of doubt and I can overdo humour. But I still believe God and Jesus are real, and love (God) , wins in the end.
fact is .in,some countries violence is a problem .in the u.k. stabbing is a problem
None of my business perhaps and I'm no angel that's for sure but.....it's how we stand up for ourselves that Stove is getting at I think. And the point he is making is very important. If we start judging each other as Christians we are no better than the Pharisees. Quantrill is a test of our communication skills as a Christian. His trollish behaviour can provoke us into bad behaviour as well.
