Years after getting born-again I had doubt in my mind about the way witch-doctors, leaders of other faith and religion claim that they do drive out the evil spirits from the deceased and do prove that by making the victim calm.

In Matthew 12:24-26 we see that pharisees were countering Jesus that He does cast out demons with the help of prince of demons "Beelezbub"

22Then was brought unto him one possessed with a devil, blind, and dumb: and he healed him, insomuch that the blind and dumb both spake and saw. 23And all the people were amazed, and said, Is not this the son of David? 24But when the Pharisees heard it, they said, This fellow doth not cast out devils, but by Beelzebub the prince of the devils.

25And Jesus knew their thoughts, and said unto them, Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation; and every city or house divided against itself shall not stand: 26And if Satan cast out Satan, he is divided against himself; how shall then his kingdom stand?

We can truly understand by going through the above verses that

1. Pharisees had knowledge about the way of cast evil spirits which was done by witch doctors or sorcerers by Beelzebub the Prince of the Devils

2.Jesus clarifies that Satan can't cast out Satan and they are strongly united.

Yesterday God gave me a revelation about what Christ said that Satan can't cast out Satan. If evil spirits are cast out from other religious leaders, sorcerers or Witch doctors then it's not that they are driving out the evil spirit or spirits present inside the victim but they are only importing something stronger and more powerful spirit to suppress the weaker spirits and claiming deliverance.

First the deceased are dead and no longer need to have demons cast out of them.

It's only by the power and authority of Christ that we can call a demon out of someone as it's in the name of Jesus that they have to obey. Demons are those servants of Satan so why would he want them cast out. This is why Jesus said Satan can not cast out Satan. Evil spirits are not suppressed by something greater than they are, but are cast out of the person by Gods power and authority spoken through those who have been given that power and authority to do so in the name of Jesus. Once a particular demon is cast out by that of Gods power and authority they must return back to the depths of hell from where they came from.

Mark 1:27 And they were all amazed, insomuch that they questioned among themselves, saying, What thing is this? what new doctrine is this? for with authority commandeth he even the unclean spirits, and they do obey him.

Luke 10:17 And the seventy returned again with joy, saying, Lord, even the devils are subject unto us through thy name.
Luke 10:18 And he said unto them, I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven.
Luke 10:19 Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.
Luke 10:20 Notwithstanding in this rejoice not, that the spirits are subject unto you; but rather rejoice, because your names are written in heaven.

Many try to call out demons like the vagabond Jews that thought themselves to be exorcist, but not speaking in the name of Jesus with his power and authority and the demons jump on them and wounded them. Never try to cast out any demons unless you know that power and authority through Christ to do so.

Acts 19:13 Then certain of the vagabond Jews, exorcists, took upon them to call over them which had evil spirits the name of the Lord Jesus, saying, We adjure you by Jesus whom Paul preacheth.
Acts 19:14 And there were seven sons of one Sceva, a Jew, and chief of the priests, which did so.
Acts 19:15 And the evil spirit answered and said, Jesus I know, and Paul I know; but who are ye?
Acts 19:16 And the man in whom the evil spirit was leaped on them, and overcame them, and prevailed against them, so that they fled out of that house naked and wounded.

Mark 5:1-20 is the definitive passage on demon possession and its effects in the Bible. Some of the details about demons the Bible reveals in this passage are:

1. Devils want to be near dead human bodies or tombs (vs. 2, 3, 5).
2. They can cause unusual strength (vs. 3-4).
3. They can make a person unreasonable or immune to sensible persuasion (vs. 4).
4. They cause excessive crying (vs. 5).
5. They cause sadistic and masochistic behavior (vs. 5).
6. They have an affinity for heights (vs. 5).
7. They recognize Christ as "the Son of God" and appeal to Him (vs. 6-7).
8. They know they deserve torment and dread it (vs. 6-7).
9. They have names (vs. 9).
10. More than one can possess the same body (vs. 9).
11. They desire to stay in the same geographical region or "country" (vs. 10).
12. They would rather indwell an animal body than none at all (vs. 12).
13. They can cause animals to kill themselves (vs. 13).
14. They desire to be in a body when it dies (vs. 13).
15. They have a desire for water (vs. 13).

Mark 9:17-29 gives us even more details about devils:

16. They can cause dumbness and deafness (vs. 17, 25).
17. They cause rabid animal like behavior (vs. 18).
18. They can indwell from childhood (vs. 21).
19. They cause suicidal behavior (vs. 22).
20. They resist leaving a body and violently "rent" it while leaving (vs. 26).
21. There are different kinds of devils. Some have more power than others (vs. 29).
22. Some can only be removed by prayer and fasting of believer (vs. 29).

Ephesians 6:12 states Satan has a hierarchy of "devils" in his kingdom, "For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places." Thus some devils have more power and authority than others.

In Daniel 10:13 (as well as Mark 9:29) there is an example of this. "The prince of the kingdom of Persia" withstood the angel sent to explain Daniel's vision to him for 21 days. He could only break free when the angel Michael came and helped him overcome the powerful "prince." The "prince" may have been Satan, but more likely he was a very powerful devil.

Sorry for that part. I didn't mean deceased or the dead it's diseased. So the person is actively alive and subject to a demon. And please don't tell me that witchcraft don't have solutions. It's proved right from the days of Moses though they are false doings.

And when you say that if there is no suppression then how do the person gets well when he/she is taken to a witch-doctor. What is your say on that?

You are talking right but this reply is out of context. Satan can't cast out Satan but there is hierarchy in Satanic Kingdom. All Spirits don't have same power. They are powerful and powerless demons.

In a kingdom there are ranks. Not every one has same power. Right from Kings to Soldiers different guys have different powers. So is with the kingdom of Satan

Sorry Guys The word diseased was misspelled as deceased and one person completely took this discussion out of context. And I can't delete this thread. So please read below and give your replies. Thank You

i don't have a warm fuzzy feeling about this mind me asking why the interest in demons?

Witchcraft does have solutions, but those solutions only come from the pits of hell and not from God above. Their solutions are only temporal, vain and pleasing to the eye and also deceiving to the flesh, Ezekiel 13:6-8; Galatians 5:19-21.

you asked: And when you say that if there is no suppression then how do the person gets well when he/she is taken to a witch-doctor. What is your say on that?

Witch doctors believe they can be suppressed by something greater, but only suppressed as in still being in the person, but not active. With Christ they are not supressed, but cast out of the person forever.

How have I taken out of context that Satan can not cast out Satan as it was Jesus that said this. The whole Satanic kingdom is hierarchy against that of God and His word. Just as God gives us His power and authority by His grace to be His servants and work through us as His vessel, Satan also gives his demons his power and authority as he works through them, but God will always overide that of Satans power. I've never seen or heard of a powerless demon.

Hi Jonah, and welcome to CF forums.

I hope you won't take this wrong but I don't believe that Jesus said that Satan "cannot" cast out Satan.
This is my interpretation of this scripture.

Matthew 12 ESV
25 Knowing their thoughts, he said to them, “Every kingdom divided against itself is laid waste, and no city or house divided against itself will stand. 26 And if Satan casts out Satan, he is divided against himself. How then will his kingdom stand?

Jesus was making the argument that IF He was using power given to Him by satan to cast out demons, satan would be dividing his own kingdom and it would not continue to stand.

satan knew who Jesus was, the Son of God, the Messiah.
Why would satan give Jesus the Messiah power to cast out demons and heal people in doing so? That was kind of what He was asking them.

Very difficult to digest your logic too because why would Satan cast out another Satan rather the superior will get in to suppress the inferior to make the condition of person worse in later stages. All we read in the bible how an evil spirit goes out of man and brings seven more stronger than him so this is a debatable matter. When Jesus say Satan cannot cast out Satan he is also reminding us Satan's kingdom is strong and well united. Anyways I want more people to come in.
