Censorship is the suppression of speech, public communication, or other information, on the basis that such material is considered objectionable, harmful, sensitive, or "inconvenient." lets talk about masturbation here is a good one orl sex is in the Bible ?
 
I think I should be allowed to say whatever I like, whenever I like.
But of course this freedom should not be given to others. Otherwise I will be severely outraged. And when I get outragged, it's not a pretty site.
 
Hmm, while I'm not for the suppression of freedom of speech, we also must keep in mind that even if speech is free, it can come with consequence, too. Free speech is a special thing to have and we must use it wisely. By that I mean, if we say something that's impolite or would be offensive to others or something that wouldn't be appropriate for some to hear then that's ignoring the idea of human decency or courtesy. When speaking to our brothers and sisters in Christ, we must be careful with our words, too. So, I don't think that this is the best way to go about the "suppression of speech" issue...

That's it. As Christians we have to monitor our speech more than the average person. That's if we want to truly represent Christian virtue. Self censor to avoid being censored by others.
There will always be others who hold Christians to a higher standard than themselves. Or even deliberately take offence easily and unnecessarily. Let them worry about their bad behaviour.
 
you need to know the truth they took my reply post down when i said the subject masturbaon does not need to be in a christian forum. . to be honest its not natural . but never the less if one speaks out and they dont like it poof it is removed your banned from posting .i got this on the subject of osas. there has been other things i spoke out against ..it is becoming like twitter and face book. dont dare post anything against biden or the election . if this post makes it by days end i will be shocked.
 
Even with Jesus it come down to his speech. People did not like what he said. All he did was say something and he got a penalty.

But he wasn't selfish. He wasn't trying to save his political butt like Donald.
I might take offence that you would compare Jesus to someone like that.

Exactly, people can twist anything someone else says they dont like in the context they want and call it offensive. You could take what i said in your own context and get offended and cry hate speech of you like because you dont like what i said.

I was not compairing the two, it was just and example of two completly different individuals who both recieved penalties and were cencored for there speech simply because people did not like them or agree with what they say.

I know. I was just inferring from the other thread . Anyway I don't feel too sorry for those who get in trouble for their free expression. ( If it is clearly offensive to the majority of people). If it is only offensive to a small minority, I would agree that some people are too easily offended.
 
Why do people have a cry simply because someone else does not believe what they believe.

Lets have open honest discussion about it.

We all have secrets. Stuff we would prefer no one knew about us. You could easily offend me if you used any of those secrets against me.
I think "the truth" becomes a cliche on Christian forums. People say they care about the truth. But I suspect, only if it fits in with their political views.

Everyone needs a peaceful outlet without the fear of recieving a penalty for it and that is why freedom of speech, thought, belief, religion, and opinion allows for open honest discussion and is important. It allows different views to have a more peaceful outlet to openly talk about things.

If some things are personal some people talk to God about it, he is there peaceful outlet they can trust and openly talk with to let something out.

It was a discussion where you came in and were demeaning to the topic of the OP with your display of sarcasm. That is why your post were deleted. If you would have given your views and scripture like everyone else did then there would have been no need to censor what you posted, even after I placed a statement in red about how this is an important topic, especially when the member of the OP felt it was not sin by his understanding. Many Christians deal with this problem and it is good to discuss to see what has already been written in the scriptures.

I am not going to delete this thread, but to use it to show others that even sensitive topics as that one do need to be discussed in a mature Christian manner as we seek the scriptures for our answer.

Here is the truth.

Your first post: "this is about the most absurd post i have ever read. in fact on a scale of 1-10 for garbage i would give it a -1 . honestly i dont need to know what goes on behind closed doors. i dont even understand why the admin would even allow this"

Before the replies started I posted this in red: "I'm just going to throw this out there as this is an important topic. This is a controversial subject with no absolutes of yes or no as being sin or not. Let's keep the flow of the discussions in a mature attitude of walking in unity of love as there is no room for tearing down another for their thoughts and views as everyone has their own. Let's remember to build each other up in hopes of a stronger relationship with Christ Jesus.

Your reply to that: "there is no building up in this thread".

You had two choices of either contributing to the discussion or taking your concern to the staff to draw there attention to that thread. Instead you used sarcasm and now make a thread about being censored and banned.

ms majesty why not just remove this post you did my other one.. lets see the subject was masturbation correct? yes how is that a bible study? ITS NOT should do we do a post on oral sex is biblie some things simply dont belong in a christian forum.. i have dealt with the staff remember ? how did it go. like a post against Joe Biden on twitter and facebook it didn't. in fact i have came to the admin only to be a one man standing on leg in a fight. . so please bring the truth out.. i am not allowed to post certain sections . lets see i also got my hands spanked on water baptism... i kicked over the Golden cow. my post towards masturbation was not mean to build up. but to state a fact . please spare me on the unity of Love . reminds me of nancy pelosi saying she is a reasonable person cough . so lets air this out no restrictions
