censorship

Jerry wanted the freedom to denounce masturbation as a suitable discussion topic on a Christian forum. Is that right?
Isn't that censoring someone else's freedom of speech?

I think what you fail to understand, is this site is not a republic nor is it a democracy. It is a Monarchy.

As the sole owner of this site, it is to my discretion both who I allow to post and what. As stated within the terms and rules at the bottom of each page, your posts are no longer yours once they are committed. Furthermore, I or staff can do what we please with said posts with, or without notifying you.

In short, this site is not a democracy. Furthermore, it is not a paid service. You, nor any other member pays for the right to be a member.

That being said, I try very hard to walk in the Spirit and the rules and protocols we have were framed around biblical principals with the input of the community.

ok and churches can't remove those that cause problems ,

that also falls under this type of censorship .

Im just not an entitled brat that thinks he owns the world and can do or say anything he likes, anytime he likes, anywhere he likes.
I was taught respect for others growing up and I instinctively knew when I entered another’s home, I was to remove my shoes.

Social media, including this forum is often viewed by others, like yourself as a right, or entitlement. Just because this forum is in the public domain by no means gives anyone the right to say anything they like. And yes, I do censor. And that’s not a bad thing, unless your the one being censored.

There is such a thing called order. And as far as your rights on this forum, you share the same rights as any other member.

Again, at the bottom of each page is a link called Terms and rules. You and every member on this site agreed to those Terms and rules when you registered. If you or others don’t agree to those terms and rules, then you have no business being here.

Anyone can kick and scream or even protest the terms and rules. But at the end of the day, those protesting the terms or rules of this forum have no authority to change them.

Whine or cry as anyone might, yes, I censor content, as does the volunteer staff. We have always censored, and we will always censor. As the owner, I have that right. As a member, you have the choice to follow the rules, or have them enforced upon you. It’s really that simple.
 
jerry63935 when you first became a member you gave great value to this site in sharing your knowledge of the word with others in various discussions. You walked in unity of love even if you disagreed with others.

I don't know this jerry who is causing such havoc acting like a two year old that can not have his way. Like I said earlier, if you just would have participated in that thread giving your views, especially with scripture, in helping this young man see that it is a sinful act when lust is involved you could have helped him see the error of his understanding. But no, you came in with sarcasm over the fact that a masturbation thread was created by this young man, which there have been many before him, and that was the reason your posts were deleted and you were banned from that thread.

This is not a personal attack on you, but for all who do not abide by the ToS they agreed upon when they became a member. Censorship will happen when there is no glory given to the Lord, but only that of sarcasm, rudeness and one who causes division by false doctrines. You have been here long enough to see how stovebolts has prayerfully taken this site under his wings to try and make it a better place then what it use to be. The staff is not above anyone else as we too get disciplined in private if we get out of hand. No one is privy to those conversations other than the staff.

When other young in the Lord members or guest see such behavior as you have displayed, as well as many others in the past, then it makes them think this site is no different than others they have been on. We want to be different in that of being the best Christian forum on the net where others will enjoy fellowshipping with one another as they feel the Spirit of love flow through every forum and topic.

We are not always going to agree with each other, but our common ground is the love we have for the Lord and to have towards each other. If you have a problem with any of this then maybe it's time for you to move on and find a site that is a better fit for you. I'm in no way asking you to leave, because you could have been banned a long time ago and we take no pleasure in having to ban anyone. What I am asking is that you sit back an take some time to examine yourself in whom you have become of late, because you are not the same jerry who first came here in 2019 sharing the word of God with others helping others to learn.

I pray you take all of this in consideration as your demeanor is totally out of control like Satan has a hold on you or something. It's just not the staff that sees this, but many others who have seen this change in you.
