CF.net, What is your doctrine?

CF.net, What is your doctrine? What do you profess?

I have noticed that the moderators have something in common: 'their ability to reason alike' - on bible stuff. So, if you write something that doesn't agree with what they believe (something that has to do with Christianity and the bible[I mean they have a way of interpreting the bible])...they would all take a similar decision INDIVIDUALLY, and edit, or lock or delete the thread or post. They kind of unconsciously take the same decision, privately.

It makes this site look like a kind of church - where a doctrine and system of belief is practised:lol...a church with a style of teaching and a peculiar doctrine. Interesting.

Now my questions:
1. What do you profess, O Moderators?
2. What do we teach? (the mods and all)
2. On what criteria do you choose these moderators who reason alike?
3. Do you act to suit the site owner who probably could have said: THIS IS WHAT I BELIEVE 'CAUSE THIS IS MY SITE - TEACH THIS DOCTRINE.

Another of my crazy questions.:lol I'm curious;)
Danke and thanks for answering

Statement of Faith (SoF)

ChristianForums.net Mission Statement:
ChristianForums.net aspires to provide a place where Christians can come together in fellowship for encouragement, inspiration, and strength to help build each other up and grow in our walk of faith through honest and open discussion, study, reflection, and prayer.

ChristianForums.net desires to serve non-Christians, seeking answers to questions about Christianity, by sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ so they too may acquire the hope, joy, and peace that come from fellowship with the saving grace of our Lord, Jesus Christ.

This is the Statement of Faith of our forums, and of our leadership.

There is one true God, eternally existing in three persons - Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

The bible is the inspired, infallible and authoritative Word of God.

Jesus Christ, God's only Son, was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born a virgin birth, lived a sinless life, died an atoning death upon a cross, raised from the dead, and ascended to the right hand of the Father where He will one day return to the earth.

That man is in a lost and depraved condition by nature, and is in need of the new birth by the regenerating power of the Holy Spirit.

In justification by grace through faith, apart from the works of the law.

That salvation comes through Jesus Christ alone, to whom we must respond with repentance, faith, and obedience. Through Christ we come into a right relationship with God, our sins are forgiven, and we receive eternal life.

Expansion...

Doctrinal Statement

We believe that the Bible is inspired by God in its entirety, and is without error in the original autographs, a complete and final written revelation from God.

We believe that there is only one God, who is eternal and immutable, and manifests Himself in three distinct Persons; Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

We believe that Jesus of Nazareth is the promised Messiah, born of a virgin, totally without sin, God in human flesh, the One Who died on the cross for our sins, was buried, rose again from the dead on the third day, and ascended to the right hand of the Father in heaven, where He now intercedes for us who believe in Him.

We believe that all humanity is lost and born with a sinful nature, and can only be saved by a personal faith in the death and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ, and not by any human merit or performance.

We believe in a personal devil, called Satan, who, along with all his angels, called demons or evil spirits, are destined to spend eternity in hell, and now seek to deceive the world, defeat the believers, and destroy the work of God, but can be resisted by believers, who are protected by God and the intercession of Jesus Christ our Lord.

We believe that heaven is a real place where the saved will dwell forever, and that hell is a literal place of torment where unbelievers will be punished.

We believe that genuine believers are born again by the Holy Spirit of God, and are indwelt, baptized into the body of Christ, the true church, and sealed by the Holy Spirit, and thus, unable to be separated from the love of Jesus Christ.

We believe that all believers need to be filled and empowered by the Holy Spirit to live a godly life and to be bold in our witness for the Lord.

We believe in the spiritual unity of all genuine believers in the Lord Jesus Christ.

Moderation is a huge task. I once had a forum for a christian software which I build and distribute but i closed it because of the number of spams. Sometimes in heated discussions a good moderation is required for proper discussion and productive outcome.

But I do feel there is a biased moderation on controversial topics whenever a moderator doesn't agree or a moderator is put into a position of getting embarrassed because of his/her earlier posts. This is when the thread gets silently locked and/or moved to dead threads. While I do support certain bad threads getting locked, not all are acceptable as some of these topics are the same topics the churches worldwide are getting ripped off and split.

Can you expand a bit more on:
  • Does CF.Net acknowledge God as their Creator? Yes/No
  • What happens if a moderator does not acknowledge God as his/her Creator?
  • Does CF.Net believe homosexuals and sinners are only because of "their evil choices"?
  • Does CF.Net acknowledge homosexuals "deserve death"?
  • Does CF.Net acknowledge there are different levels of sins and even sins that does not lead to death?

It is better to explain a bit more as fallen churches and even gay churches today have the same or similar SoF and yet have a twisted and different interpretation, deceiving many good Christians. The SoF is nearly 1500 years old and does not address the recent twisting interpretations based on culture, worldly law and tolerance for evil.

I think the mods do a great job :clap considering the circumstances and you guys are going crazy. :eeeekkk

It's a common occurrence in all areas of society, that people select those to put in a leadership position who agree with them. Not that surrounding yourself with "yes" men/women is necessarily the best course of action... I'd argue that a few people with contrary positions are far more useful. But at the end of the day it's their website and they can lock whatever posts they want for whatever reason they want. If they keep doing it selectively, people will need to decide if they're better off staying or going.

1. What do you profess, O Moderators?
All moderators believe the Statement of Faith that reba posted. That is CF's official position. There are other areas of doctrine which do not appear in the statement of fatih, as felix has suggested. The site and its leadership have no official position on these matters.
2. What do we teach? (the mods and all)
Um, what we believe?
2. On what criteria do you choose these moderators who reason alike?
We don't choose moderators based soley on their doctrine, nor do we choose moderators who believe exactly as a particular mod or admin.
A moderator should be a well-rounded individual who has solid Biblical beliefs and is able to keep their cool and maintian discernment and be a positive contribution to the community here at CF.
3. Do you act to suit the site owner who probably could have said: THIS IS WHAT I BELIEVE 'CAUSE THIS IS MY SITE - TEACH THIS DOCTRINE.
The staff don't teach any doctrine. We post like everyone else, with an additional responsiblity of leadership. The site owner leaves the running of the forums up to the staff.

Superb:nod

And the points raised by felix should be taken seriously. It'll help us stop false teaching.

I know, and it's obvious, that at times we choose to avoid certain teachings/corrections that may cause controversy. There is nothing to fear. If the MASTER wants to speak through you go ahead and say what HE urges you to speak.

[Some people want to bend the bible to suit their selfish desires. You must stop them before they spread this flu]

And Nick, it's good to know that a young person like you is crazy about the things of GOD. Keep it up.

Some of your mates are already about one club thing or another, immoral party A and B... etc... But you chose the right path. You will never regret it. You and all the rest of our young ones will never regret it. There's nothing to regret in CHRIST:wave

(A sister of mine met the LORD at a very tender age. She's still a Christian today. She has had nothing to regret)

The Sof is good and scriptural
----
And to our computer guru, (she knows herself) don't you think soccer should form part of the Sof? :lol

I echo Felix's remarks. Moderation is tough. I am grateful for it.

Its a great site, and a very good statement of faith. I am with it 100%. I am sure if I went on an atheists site I could say the same as the OP. lol

A site that has all Christians???

Sounds dangerous to me:chin Which side of Christ teachings are we on is a personal truth known by no one yet, but only by the 'then' of death, then found documented by God in the finished of Heb. 11:13 FINISHED FAITH. Eccl. 12:13-14 FINAL CONCLUSION.

And what we are hearing sounds like repeated history to me, (again Eccl. 3:15)
you be the judge and 'see' which it is that we are hearing on the thread???
Num.16

[1] Now Korah, the son of Izhar, the son of Kohath, the son of Levi, and Dathan and Abiram, the sons of Eliab, and On, the son of Peleth, sons of Reuben, took men:
[2] And they rose up before Moses, with certain of the children of Israel, two hundred and fifty princes of the assembly, famous in the congregation, men of renown:

[3] And they gathered themselves together against Moses and against Aaron, and said unto them, Ye take too much upon you, seeing all the congregation are holy, every one of them, and the LORD is among them: wherefore then lift ye up yourselves above the congregation of the LORD?

this was just before these ones were slaughtered by God. Even then note what verse 41 says!

[41] But on the morrow all the congregation of the children of Israel murmured against Moses and against Aaron, saying, Ye have killed the people of the LORD.

It is a fact that the Truth from God just flat out is not accepted by most.:sad Matt. 7's BROADWAY. And yes, surely the Eccl. 3:15 repeat ones seen in Rev. 17:1-5 great masses with their many (250 Princes?) 'famous' and 'renown' ones. And what is [[THEIR DOCTRINE??]] Go see Jer. 17:1-5:study
