When CHRISTIANS pray without faith, God cannot work. Even Jesus declared that His followers had little faith. Lack of faith is a powerful block to the hand of God. That is why He tells us that with faith we can move mountsains...even a little faith, but strong.

That is not fundamentally correct. I responded to the calling and cried out for God to give me faith and lead me to the Truth and HE responded. :yes Amen!

God IS the giver of faith!

Plus, I've noticed in my own personal walk, when I'm running low and pray He increases my faith, He most definitely responds. His healing goes way, way beyond the physical.

I used to listen to him. I got the idea that he actually gets going such that he just does not think, but just keeps talking and saying stuff as it comes to him. The quote above is an example of this.

I just don't see him as a very deep thinker, but one who appeals to your emotions.

Your idea might apply to say, the members here who are not professional ministers/speakers/authors but no to any internationally known teacher. I dont believe for a minute Copeland's only guilt is his rambling. Quite the opposite. I think thats his way of softening up his audience. He is carnival barker, and unfortunately hes found a ripe field in the church. Even if you are correct his position leaves no room for such nonsense.

I wanted to remind anyone reading that teachers etc are held to a higher standard, depiste efforts of some to pretend that having standards and enforcing them is sinful.

However, I have this personal experience with Kenneth Copeland. When my wife and I attended a ministers’ convention, hosted by Oral Roberts in 1984 at the Oral Robert’s University in Tulsa, Oklahoma, Oral Roberts and Kenneth Copeland had a discussion on finances in one session, where they could teach us ministers how to

be successful. I remember Oral asking Kenneth to explain why he had seven non-profit organizations and how this benefited him. Kenneth became very uptight and told Oral that he did not want to discuss this in public. When Oral insisted, Copeland (right) became very angry and flatly told Oral Roberts to move on and drop the subject. This outburst of anger put a damper on the teaching session and it became obvious to us in the audience, that Copeland was doing something that he did not want his supporters to know. This was the first and last time my wife and I attended such a conference.

the passage about speaking to the mountain is about apostate National Israel which was the enemy of Jesus and the disciples.

i hear WoF'ers use this passage, yet i NEVER see Mount Shasta or the Rockies move ONE INCH. neither do i see a slowing of sin in the world, people raised from the dead etc....what are all the ones with HUGE faith praying for?

Speaking to a mountain is appropriate for any mountain we face in life.

I have moved mountains in my life by faith.

If you don't have faith and don't speak it, then your mountains will continue to loom.

mountains are symbols of trails in life. as that is what i was taught.

i dont think we have that type of authority or well there would be some flat areas of the united states.
