I've been kind of busy myself lately...Grace, for an OEC you're one of the most pleasant to debate with. Don't give up! I just remember the days when I was lost and
I have compassion on them.
It may not look like alot of compasion at times.
I've been to some forums that were totally run by atheists of
various beliefs,and some them are real nasty,and they do
say some very mean spirited things. Some are nice though.
When I was lost,I couldn't see the truth either,and I was a
a worldly mess to put it mildly.
I went to one forum thinking there was a fair debate going on
between the christians and the atheists and what I walked into
was nothing less than a pack of wolves. I cannot believe the
rage and that hate at some of these places. It was a shock,but
I managed to stay there awhile. I'm enjoying that book alot that
you told me about called "The Long War against God" by Henry Morris.
It's a very good book.
Thank you for blessing me with your words of encouragement. It's like
being blessed by Jesus himself. You and destiny have both blessed me
so much,and all the other sisters and brothers here too.

No worries. I don't mind if a thread dies because there isn't enough interest in the topic, or if the participants just don't have the time to put into it, but it really irks me when a thread becomes derailed as this one has. Heehee. Thanks....I think. Why on earth would I not be pleasant to debate with just because I believe the earth is more than 6,000 years old? *scratches head* I'm not picking on you, but I don't understand why so many young earthers have the impression that OEC's and TE's are somehow unkind, or even hateful. I honestly see the judgement and mean spiritedness coming from both sides - or, I should say all sides, as there are more than two major viewpoints on creation - and I've run into quite a few YEC's, who are less than pleasant to talk with. Sorry for the minor rant, but sometimes I feel so labeled by YEC's, before they even know what I believe or hear what I have to say. *sigh* It can be frustrating. I say all this only to point out that I think we all need to be a little more gracious to one another. I'm not directing that at you by any means, MHess, as I think - from the little I know of you - you try to deal fairly with people, but I think we are all guilty of it from time to time. It's disheartening when fellow Christians treat each other like enemies simply because they don't see eye to eye on issues such as this. (I know there are atheistic evolutionists involved too, and that is not to say that we should treat them any less charitably).
