In Revelation did John just recieve a vision of what was to come or did he personally see and hear the end times? If it was something he personally saw would that not dispute the symbolism in the interpretation of Revelation. I' will use this as an example: from Revelation 7 vs 9: After this I Lookedand behold, a great multitude that no one could number, from every nation, from all tribes and peoples and languages, standing before the throne and before the lamb, clothed in white robes, with palm branches in their hands, and crying out with a loud voice. "Salvation belongs to our God who sits on the throne and to the lamb.
The point I have is he saw the multitude of people and he heard them crying with a loud voice. This has to be an actual event in the future as it has not happened in the passed.
