Most of them unintentionally, I think.

1. "Evolution is about the origin of life."
2. "If you think evolution is so good..."
3. "If you're an evolutionist, why not just rape and murder and steal?"
4."If you're an evolutionist, you don't believe the Bible."
5."Evolution says it all happened by chance."
6. "Scientists think we should all act like animals."
(very long list)

Most people who think they hate science have no idea what it really is.

Don't forget -

7. "Hitler and the Holocaust were a direct consequence of evolutionary theory." ;)

Would the theory of evolution hold up in the court of law?

Would the theory of evolution hold up in the court of law? Can evolution be proven beyond a shadow of a doubt?

Re: Would the theory of evolution hold up in the court of law?

Scientific theory is held to a more rigorous standard than a court of law allows. "Beyond a reasonable doubt" in legal terms means "twelve people convinced it's right."

In science, it must go past peer review and make successful predictions.

Is the evolution theory invincible?

Is the evolution theory invincible?

Re: Is the evolution theory invincible?

Nope. Evolutionary theory will be accepted only so long as it is the best available explanation for the facts. If something comes along that fits better, bye-bye, evolutionary theory.
