Do you believe in Aliens ?

Back when I was young... a friend of mine wondered about the rise in crime and "strange" behavior during the full moon. He suggested that the moon could not have any physicial influence on behavior and then concluded that the whole thing was a demonic plot.

According to this theory, a bunch of demons got together perhaps thousands of years ago and conspired to create the appearance of lunar influence on human behavior. They agreed to take notice of the lunar cycles and use whatever influence they had at their disposal to cause some kind of disturbance -- and thereby create artificial evidence for a deception.

Now, I have no clue about this. I can't even say for a certainty that people act any differently during a full moon than they would 14 days later during a new moon. Given that it's true and can be established by empirical evidence, I have no method of determining demonic intent or involvement. None whatsoever. My friend didn't claim revelation from the Lord about it so it was merely his speculation. My answer? "Duh, I dunno." But I think probably not.

Regarding Aliens? No. I don't "believe" in aliens. I have no faith that "they" are out there, nor do I believe that because the universe is big they (the unseen) must be. The way I think about it is to remember that infinity minus anything still equals infinity. That means that Infinity minus a very, very large amount is still equal to Infinity just the same as if we were to subtract a very, very small amount. So it is just as "difficult" for God to create the entire universe with a single word as it would be for Him to take the form of a burning bush and appear to one man. The Universe does speak to me about the "unseen" but what I hear is the magnificence and greatness of God. Its size simple does not prove the speculation that there "must" be Something out there.

You don't know a whole lot about bijections, do you? :)

There are infinity real numbers. There are infinity even numbers. All of the odd numbers minus all of the evens is still an infinite difference. By your logic, everything is the same no matter what you take away from it. Assuming Murphy's Law (everything that can happen in a certain potentiality will happen)
and Occam's razor (the simpler the more likely it is to work) are in effect, it only makes sense that life exists elsewhere.

That difference, no matter how small, can wreck a havock in science. It can bring about a powerful change.
 
thats doesnt mean that they exist.

i hate to derail this so then we could say that creation doesnt need god.

with that statement if said just the right way. this would also means that those aliens would be just as much as a sinner as we humans are. christ would have to die for them too.

Aliens certainly exsist as a statistical probablity. Have they visited Earth extremely unlikley.

What's more aliens discribed by various... pepole... implies that they are humanoid.

That is EXTREMELY unlikly. looking at the diversity of life on earth you can see the humanoid form is rare one.

assuming that these reports arn't just the repressed conspiracy fantasies of pepole or incidents of sleep paralysis then it's much more likley that those "aliens" are time travelers based on their humanoid apperance.

The thought that numbers define (and that God does not) is simply false.
We don't agree. Get over it.

:chin At the risk of pointing out the obvious, I wasn't speaking of the concept of infinity as a number set, but rather as an expression of the Omnipotence of God. The thought, "Since the universe is so big, it MUST mean that aliens exist," is not a proof. It is similar to the thought, "if the universe has existed for billions and billions of years, we don't need God to explain where life came from." Neither constitute any form of proof and are mere speculations.

Even if you believe that God does not exist, and life arises from chance inputs, you still can not say this SCIENTIFICALLY.

You can't even begin to make parameters to make a statistical analysis. Its just a coin in the wishing well for dreamers.

so is there life, other races out side the earth, ?

or are we it? .

God created the Heavens and the Earth, then created man and women.

I have wondered whether or not to reply, thinking what could I add to the discussion. Now as a christian,I know there is no real aliens on another planet. Of this I am completely sure. If a spaceship were to descend upon Earth I would be sure this was demonic in nature. Why? because God is not a liar, he would have put it in the bible if it were to happen. Just think, an event like this; it would be the biggest kicker to lax christians, ultimately destroying faith.

As christians..we can only assume demons, the sons of God of genesis 6. This is why we are told that its the Godly line of Seth, disregarding the book of Enoch, when the book of Jude quotes it verbatim. Alot of scholars influenced by liberal seminaries are being decieved and spread this deception because it is the party line. Now as a fellow member of the David Icke forum, I have spent alot of time researching similar stuff to you, I'm certain our theological viewpoints vary, and I do come at this from a more physcial perspective, I do believe that angels are physical beings, and do not appear to man as glowing beings of light but look like us. I do not question that they have abilities above man, and can appear as a being of light if they so choose, or as an alien grey, their nature is different but their substance is malleable.

I believe that they play upon secularism, and the materialism and needs of the unbeliever, a spaceship would be used by these beings because it is what we would expect, just as a muslim or jew would expect a messiah, this is what they will get. How do you reconcile the two? Aliens for us and imam madis for muslims? merge them. The New Age movement is already delving into christianity with the emergent church, the catholic rituals are not disimilar to islamic rituals, and this church is open to anything. if the merging of these openly religiose faiths can be achieved, then anything that walks out of the spaceship can be accepted as the messiah. especially if it preaches the right message.

I dont believe these beings will be greys, i believe that this is their truee appearance, due to their sinful corruption and great age. but they will likely appear to us as something more akin to the aryan nordics. this makes sense, as theosophy and occult mediums have translated this image to us from their divinations.

I truly belive the next few years are going to be horrific times for all mankind. I urge you all to stay strong in your faith. Do not be swayed by the news media, by prosperity preachers, or by snake oil salesmen like Icke or Alex Jones, do not view events from anything other than scripture, pray and fast, help those in need and please do not hope for the rapture (rev 6 and 7 disproves it), be prepared for the tribulation to come.
 
Well that's up to you. Is revelation therefore allegorical? Or do you believe daniel, isaiah and revelation are disconnected and don't refer to one another?
 
im sorry but modern dispistionalism doesnt cut it with me.

those prophecies were fulfilled for the most part.

i dont buy into the ac or the aod as well the later must imply that the temple must be built and the torah restored. if so then why does is called the aod?

the temple once built per the torah has to be dedicated to YHWH and in order for it to be dessicrated YHWH would have to then accept the animal sacrificial system. this doesnt mean i dont buy into a final judgment of all man or the idea of removal of the sinners .

i see the verses on the rapture as a ressurection. and im jewish., so why would my family need to go the temple in jerusalem to find jesus? they wouldnt they could come as i did. repent here and wherever they are at and then see him

i know that the futurists dont say it that way on the aod and the temple but given the original account of it that is what it must imply.

The Drake equation was a tool used to promote discussion - it was never meant to be an actual equation that would be used in science. The parameters of the Drake equation are, largely, scientific wild guesses.

So, my question to you is: "Yea, what ABOUT the Drake Equation?" That is to say: "What is your point?"
