Growth Do You Guard your Thoughts Carefully?

Wow. Yeah, maybe you're right on that one. It seems like God is moving in the church today. There are so many vids on Youtube of nice churches with a great message, and miracles happening and all sorts of goodness. Of course it can't be universal and the bad churches don't post vids. Your story blows my mind.

My church is a good church. They have a great outreach into the community, teach grace through faith, and line by line in the Word rather than jumping around all the time (which I very much like). It's a huge church, but modest decor. I guess I got lucky, praise the Lord. I should be more active in the church.

It took awhile, but we finally found a church that we can be happy in. They have community outreach and the pastor doesn't try to beat everyone up all the time. He has a real pastors heart. My husband and I really want to serve and he lets us serve. If you have a good church maybe you should ask the Lord where he wants you to be more active.

Hi brother, would you please pray for my husband and I. Here's our dilemma. We live way out in the country. The church we have been going to is a good church. The thing is, it is 50 miles from our house and it is a fairly good sized church. I think there are about 300 members. Anyway there is a church out here buy us that we go by all the time but we have never checked out. It is a very small church. Yesterday we decided to check the church out because our pastor is out of town and his assistant stinks when it comes to giving sermons so we decided we did not want to waste the gas to go the 100 miles round trip to hear nothing important. We went to this little church and they were very welcoming and kind to us. They are in such need of good music that they let my husband do the praise and worship (he is a great guitar player and singer) on our first visit to the church. This church is only about six miles from our house. It is composed of or neighbors that live right around us. Here's the deal. We like the church we attend now, but with so many people they don't really need us. We have been serving there but not to the capacity that we want to serve. This country church is small, needs our help, and is made up of our close neighbors. It also has a small community feel to it like the church I attended when I was a kid We are seriously thinking of changing churches, but we want to be where the Lord wants us to be. We are going out to lunch with all the people in the church today. That will help us make our decision I believe. Pray for us please as we decide what to do.

I think you are right. By the end of this lunch today we will have our answer. I'll let you know how it turns out.
