Do you have a life verse?

Do you have a life verse from the bible which seems to be the one verse that states what you want to be for God?

Everyone should have a life verse.
If you dont have one, think about it, and maybe you will see one soon in your study that seems to say......."yeah thats me, thats what i want to do, to become, to be for the Lord".

Mine is Colossians 1:10 in the KJV.

"That you might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God"..

Mine has always been Psalm 23 and has kept me going through the years.

1 The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing.
2 He makes me lie down in green pastures,
he leads me beside quiet waters,
3 he refreshes my soul.
He guides me along the right paths
for his name’s sake.
4 Even though I walk
through the darkest valley,[a]
I will fear no evil,
for you are with me;
your rod and your staff,
they comfort me.
5 You prepare a table before me
in the presence of my enemies.
You anoint my head with oil;
my cup overflows.
6 Surely your goodness and love will follow me
all the days of my life,
and I will dwell in the house of the Lord
forever.

God’s gift is eternal life in His Son Jesus Christ.:)<O:p</O:p
 
II Cor. 5:17--Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are past away; behold, all things are become new. KJV

I praise God for the change. The "old man" couldn't have made it much longer and the "new man" is here only by the grace of God.

Deuteronomy 28:13-15

13 And the LORD shall make thee the head, and not the tail; and thou shalt be above only, and thou shalt not be beneath; if that thou hearken unto the commandments of the LORD thy God, which I command thee this day, to observe and to do them:

14 And thou shalt not go aside from any of the words which I command thee this day, to the right hand, or to the left, to go after other gods to serve them.

15 But it shall come to pass, if thou wilt not hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to observe to do all his commandments and his statutes which I command thee this day; that all these curses shall come upon thee, and overtake thee:

This is my life verse for it saved me from trying to commit suicide many years ago as you can read in my testimony on my website. I learned that I was someone, a whosoever in the Lord, that His love was more important then mans acceptance and to focus on things from above and not what is under the heavens.
 
Well, John 3.16, among others, I reckon, is a great verse.

(I'm not sure I limit myself to one verse, really.)

I live by this verse though I need to remember it more. It was my class motto when I graduated high school in 2007 then it has helped me for the small bit of time I was in college too-

I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength.

somebodysangel_88: Yes, it's a great verse, especially when combined with a personal, saving faith in Christ, and a daily feeding on the Word of God, prayerfully.

I think your mom also likes the verse!

Yes she does! She takes it since it was my motto from high school ;)
