No,I was thinking of how intense dreams of mine aren't always bothersome .

And I was stressed a few times I couldn't sleep .when I am those can go either way with dreams

I worked with suicidal pelple, on a voluntary basis, for several years. There are two kinds of depression, clinical and that caused by loss. Any kind of loss, Job loss, loss of material things , loss of a limb, sight, a loved one, loss of faith and so on. The list is endless and can lead to suicidal feelings.

I can relate to being brought up similar to you. I always think everyone else is right and I never am. It makes you feel either inferior or a failure bit of course it Isn't true.

Everyone is good at something and we all seem to enjoy those things. So why not concentrate on doing those things. They are gifts that God has given you.
Helping others takes your mind off yourself.
I read once that love is like a perfume, spray it on yourself and the spray will fall on those around you.

Yes it can be, as it deepens depression and causes loss of self esteem

btw ….are you suggesting that I am seeking the validation of other people instead of God?
I wasn't aware of that to be honest. maybe I am seeking praise from others without knowing. I do try to be true to myself these days, even if it gets me in trouble.
I just started this thread to see if others shared self-doubts like I do. People like you have such strong faith, they don't worry about such things I suppose. But your faith is impressive and you are being helpful. so thanks.

You might be seeking a certain amount of validation from others as I think we all do this at times as we want everyone to like us, but yet we all want validation from God, which is more important as we want to be pleasing to Him.

It took me from 1972 until today to develop my faith in Christ as it was a long hard journey getting to where I am today and still have far to go. It didn't come easy by any means and sometimes I do self doubt at times, but now as soon as I do I get those thoughts out of my head because I know it's Satan trying to steal my faith.

i thought i was helping others on here. By complaining everyday. Feeling sorry for myself and helping others see the pessimistic view more clearly. you mean others dont feel helped by me?

Say I don't like myself because I become irritated when interrupted whole I am doing something, I concentrate on the opposite - being patient.

I do the same with people. If i don't like someone I look for a quality that they have and I don't have. (Usually takes 2 seconds). Then I work on growing that quality of character. It helps me to love them.

I also believe that loving our neighbors doesn't necessarily mean that we have to like the way they behave or are expected to get along with everyone because that just doesn't always happen.
