Personally I believe that anybody who wants to marry another person should be able to marry. How can you tell two consenting adults that they are not allowed to marry? If two people are in love with one another, who are we to say they cannot? thoughts?

I think that It should be perfectly legal, However, to respect Christianity, Instead of calling it "marriage" call it, a "civil union"

Afford them the same rights as 2 atheists would have if married, If 2 christians were married, Or 2 jews were married.

You may disagree with allowing them to marry due to your religous beliefs, But in a country where you can believe whatever you want, is it fair to impose one beliefs views on all others>?

I agree for the most part, but believe that we should call it a marrige, a couple does not nessasarily have to be married by a priest, they can be married by a judge, and anybody else that has a marrige liscence

Ok. Here we go.
Marriage isn't a right. It's a privilege.

ok, your turn.

a privalage that all consenting aduld should enjoy.

You're supposed to say, "Why do you deny those in love the right to be together?"

OK, you did that.

going further.

Then I'm supposed to say, "Gays have as many rights as anyone."

Then you say, "But NOT in marriage? Is that it?"

Then I say, "they want to change marriage at the expense of others who view marriage as one man and woman?"

Then you say, "How is marrying hurting you? Not everyone believes the same way you do. You don't need to impose your beliefs on someone else."

Then I say, "70% of all states that voted on the issue did not vote in favor of gay marriage"

Then there will be posts of biblical doctrine to which there will be a rebuttal claiming the bible it old or some such thing and it all ends with someone wanting the last word and the whole thing gets tiresome and dies.

/yawn

Been there done that.
Over and over and over again.

Wanna talk about the guy that was forced to marry a goat?

You've been there and done that, but how do you really think and why? lets not merely question one another

You're on a christian forum. How do you think I think and why?

By the way.

I think everybody should be treated equally under the law, you still havn't told me how you feel

Here's what I think.
I will vote no when the time comes. Why? Because I don't want to change the definition of marriage. Why? Because I like it the way it is.

You want a pointless argument and I'm not going to give it you.

I've written to my representatives, donated to campaigning against gay marriage, voiced opposition on this and other forums and kept up with current events concerning the matter. I've exercised all my rights on the issue and I thank God for the freedom to do so.

homosexuals will get the same rights as everybody else eventually, everybody deserves to be treated fairly and given the same oppertunitys as everyone else, and neither you or anybody else can stop it.
