Does Catholic Church know 'veneration of Saints' was transferred from idol worship?

Confess to ONE OTHER. not to some special person like a Catholic "priest". confess to, say, an average joe Christian!

Funny how they switch "effectual fervent" for "continual" in the cathode version.
EFFECTUAL is synonymous with "effective". FERVENT is synonymous with PASSIONATE.

Sincerity and effectiveness of prayers of Godly men "availeth much". Not merely repeating prayers over and over like the Cathode version asserts. The enemy is subtle!

READ MATTHEW 6:7.
Cathode "Bible" found LACKING, SUPERIOR BIBLE WITHSTANDS SCRUTINY.

All false beliefs wither and die. Cathodeism withers and dies. Therefore Cathodeism is a false belief.
The only fundamentalist in scripture was Saul, he thought he was acting righteously and doing God’s will until the blinding light of christ appeared!

Humility, meekness, obedience are virtues of Jesus Christ not pride, presumption and arrogance!

Idolatry is forbidden
Images are not

Saints are not dead

Matthew 22:32
I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob? God is not the God of the dead, but of the living.

Jn 11:25 Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live:
Yes they are. Exodus 20:4.

Doubtful. John 5:28-29. Saints will be resurrected. If they are in Heaven, why do they get resurrected??

Jesus seemed pretty fundamental when He flipped the moneychanger tables.

NASB 1977 - Psalm 11:3
"If the foundations are destroyed, What can the righteous do?”

False beliefs ( ie Cathodeism) are false beliefs, throwing "funda" at the opposition changes none.

Grievously and abominably those who are born and raised being taught idolatry is good and right and okay and even necessary , starting with a wicked foundation and building,
all that must be destroyed, forsaken, renounced, given up, to follow Jesus !

It is a very very humongous task, impossible for men to do when they continue trusting their religion opposed to Jesus...... and very rarely accomplished in life, but possible for The Creator to set them free, IF they turn to HIM and trust HIM instead of trusting lies and liars any more.

What commandment is ex20:4?

Please explain:
Matt 16:18-19 & 18:18

Matt 27:3-10 statuary?

Zechariah 11:13
And the Lord said to me: Cast it to the statuary, a handsome price, that I was prized at by them. And I took the thirty pieces of silver, and I cast them into the house of the Lord to the statuary.

KJV call it pottery

What statues? Graven images?

Images are not forbidden, such as the cherubim on the ark of the covenant ex 25:18 and the bronze serpent num 21:9 and Jn 3:14 are not forbidden but even commanded, graven or worshiped as a god then these images are forbidden such as the golden calf!

Righteous anger is not fundamentalism

What false belief that scripture defends?

Mother of God?

Apostolic Council Of Ephesus – 431 A.D. with authority from Christ to bind and loose the faith of all Christians. Matt 16:19 & 18:18

If anyone does not confess that Emmanuel is God in truth, and therefore that the holy virgin is the mother of God (for she bore in a fleshly way the Word of God become flesh) let him be anathema.

Personally I disallow the term, Catholic Church, and avoid affirming it. For there is one church, Mt.16:18, and Catholicism is at best but a pretty large denomination and tradition within it.

As to the etiology of canonization, I think there must be some speculation here, howbeit reasonable: eg Ancient Rome attributed ancestors with mortal influence, as ancient letters/stories tell. But pagan does not mean evil though it means misguided. I am unaware of anything comparable under Sinai.

For all that and calling it a church practice, not a Christian practice, IMO it has pros and cons, an error with some plus points. One pro is remembering heroes and heroines of the faith beyond the NT orb. They can inspire us as missionary stories. A con is that we can too easily skip past our Christian link to the father, and pass the buck of prayer, to our mental images of saints long dead. What would we think of a child who always asked their mum to ask their dad?

I don’t see Sinai’s Dt.18 as an exact match to asking deceased Christians to intercede to God on our behalf. A Catholic riposte is that Protestants who ask mortal saints to intercede for them, should upgrade to asking immortal saints. To my mind the bigger issues are seeing our father’s deep love for us his children through his son, and how we are enjoined to pray directly to our father. “‘On that day,’ Jesus went on, ‘you won’t ask me for anything. I’m telling you the solemn truth: whatever you ask the father in my name, he will give you’” (NTFE: Jhn.16:23).

PS: importantly the KJV has LORD, not Lord (Dt.18:12). Copy/paste drops even Tyndale’s code for God’s name, and tends to Sabellianism.
Just cause we dont like what the church of Rome did in promoting itself as the head, we cannot close our eyes to it. We have to deal with what Satan has done within the church as the Bible tells us there would be a falling away, and we must continue doing Gods will even in the mist of this apostasy..

I’m unsure what you mean here, or even if by [the church of Rome] you mean Roman Catholicism or (improbably) simply one local church [of Rome] which perhaps once existed in that city. I do not close my eyes to the church:Roman Catholic, and can happily attend its churches without endorsing all of its positions. I do deem it sin that it calls itself, [the church]. There is only one church, and RCism is a part, a denomination, of it, with Christian and perhaps non-Christian local assemblies. Satan has influenced the church throughout its denominations, in many and various ways. Like waves the church rises and falls in various times and places.

Sunday

Refuting the “Pagan Origins of the Lord’s Day” Myth Part 1: Did Pagans Celebrate a Weekly Festival on Sunday?
There are three primary groups of people that propagate the myth that the historical Christian tradition of corporate worship on Sunday is rooted in paganism and foisted upon Christendom by the Roman Catholic Church. They are: 1) Seventh Day Sabbatarians; 2) atheists; and 3) pagans.

The scholars unanimously agreed on the following:

Neither the Romans nor the Greeks ever had a regular weekly day of rest from secular work.
Neither did they have a regular weekly festival day.
They did not have a regular day of the week on which they gathered for pagan worship.
They did not have a regular day of the week on which they went to their temples to pray or make offerings.

Conclusion

As Canright amply demonstrated, the testimony of history itself is the proverbial “nail in the coffin” to the myth of the pagan commemoration of a weekly Sunday. Since Sunday had never been a weekly day of worship dedicated to Apollo (or Sol Invictus, etc.) in the first place no one can reasonably be accused of adopting it- much less “Christianizing” it.

In essence, the case for a “pagan Sunday,” no matter what subsequent evidence is provided, is an abject failure since the foundation on which it is built- the existence of a weekly Sunday pagan observance- is a demonstrably false assumption. In the following articles we will examine the equally historically untenable claims revolving around the controversial Constantine, the Roman Catholic Church, and various ecumenical councils.
