@Tenchi you got to get rid of the corruption in the political system. Otherwise we're being held down by a tyrannical evil government, which is already happening.
No, America needs to return, as a nation,
to God, not to a better, less corrupt political system. What
Romans 1:18-32 describes is true, not just for individuals, but for entire societies. In fact, both Canada and the States are presently demonstrating the truth of what the apostle Paul wrote in his letter to the Christians at Rome. Individually, or corporately, when the population of a nation rejects God, that nation necessarily moves toward darkness, deception and delusion and the deep evil that such things produce. Reality and Truth are located ultimately in God; and so, to turn one's back on Him is to turn one's back on Truth and Reality. All that remains are falsehoods and fantasies.
The corruption, delusion and increasing chaos that characterizes North American culture and politics are part of the judgment of God upon those who have rejected Him. There is nothing else but our own natural selfishness (aka - sinfulness) to obey if we won't obey Him. And as that selfishness, wedded to the darkness and delusion of a Man-centered universe, bears its fruit, every hellish thing comes bursting out. Think: drag queens in demonic garb reading books to children in public libraries; think: children being forced by their parents to watch perverts in skimpy outfits dancing sexually, then made by their parents to put money in the thongs of the perverts; think: children chemically-castrated and surgically-mutilated by virtue-signaling, Woke-crazed parents eager to have "special" children; think: public parades of sexual deviants marching in celebration of their abominations and debasing themselves with each other in full view of all who want to watch; think: judges who can't define what a woman is; think: Big Pharma in bed with government health agencies forcing their woefully under-tested, experimental (and, as we're seeing, increasingly lethal) products upon a frightened public. And so on.
Where is all this headed, if North American societies don't return to God? Destruction. No nation can shake its fist in God's face with impunity. Every "great nation" that did has dissolved, becoming a mere artifact of history. Egyptian, Persian, Roman, Greek, Hunnish, Aztecan, Incan, and many other godless "empires" have risen and fallen, collapsing under inner, political, economic and social corruption and under the pressure of outer aggressive, rising nations. Sound familiar?
We were all made, not for ourselves, but for our Maker. He made us to know, love, enjoy and glorify Him. And He's determined that we either live under the purposes for which we were made, or to suffer the damage and destruction - in the present and/or in eternity - that defying Him always produces. Returning to God in repentance, and confession, and submission is the only route to the peace, blessing and strength that God has said can only be found - individually and nationally - in Him.
