Don't be this Pastor

To answer your question, Mike -- he is not my pastor... he is my husband.

CV, I thank you also for your post. It certain shows the way something can be twisted to reflect something that it's not, and it also shows the error in my reaction. I'm sorry. It would have been easy for you to come in and rip into me, and I really appreciate your thoughtful response. :yes

Hey! If this was fun open-mike night at the church, more power to him! :thumbsup

If you come back around and care to share more, I'm curious if you've been inundated by responses to this video. :chin

I honestly don't know what to be concerned about: the over-emoting soloist including a secular-looking dance move, or the one calling down reproach against someone he doesn't know and most likely is a brother in Christ, and putting him up to public ridicule.

The anointed "Mighty to Save" makes me want to dance, too.
Calling down reproach(wrong), pointing out over-emoting secular-looking dance does not fit in with biblical teaching for a christian leader(right).

Hi Caroline V, :waving

Tell Micheal to keep doing his thing for the Lord and personally, even though I found it humorous (in a good way) I hope you don't take offense. Also, I am glad you have a good heart and didn't respond like Michal (2 Samuel 6:20).

:)

Anyway for what it’s worth, here’s the link I watched (among others) if anyone cares to look deeper into it.

YouTube - Michael P. Vigilante III at Grace Community Church

Be blessed, Stay blessed!

Just finished viewing and stumbled upon this.

Now then, tell me what woman wouldn't fall in love with a man like this? Caroline, you're one lucky gal :thumbsup

Thank you, Caroline. I appreciate you coming in and sharing with us the spirit in which these things were done. You are right---Christians can be the most judgmental and hurtful of all. I, for one, stand corrected.
Hi Alabaster: I knew if others' could see Michael's heart and the true context of these songs -- most people would be able to understand. Maybe everyone will not agree even after seeing my posting on the forum. Either way, God does have a plan and no matter what happens, good or bad, He will use all things for HIS Glory (Rom 8:28)! No offense was taken, I have gotten used to this after being married to Michael :) I think it's actually a natural reaction. I appreciate your kind words and your soft heart. May God continue to use you to do great things for His Kingdom <><

Hello Steve: Thanks for your kind words and for speaking from the heart of God. I sit back and laugh, saying, what is happening here? Michael has such passion, but I never knew it would blow up like this. That Father up there is always stretching us...I keep telling him it hurts :) It's okay though, a little or a lot of stretch marks from God is nothing compared to what Jesus did on the cross, right? Stretch me, Father...
p.s. Thanks for the kind words on the wedding song... The Holy Spirit gave him the words and the melody to that song in 6 weeks. Michael was able to record it at home and really did sing it at our wedding in April 2008.

Oh no! You called me Steve :D You know, it's a joke with the other mod's around here and we even have a private thread titled something like Steve Alert :lol

Hey, it happens a lot! :lol But hey, feel free to call me Stove, but from you, Jeff would be just fine too :yes

Well, Micheal has a good wife too, and I am so glad that you found this thread and joined in to set things straight. You've certainly been a blessing in many, many ways.

Ever heard of Popping? Man, I really want to learn how to Pop and yeah, I dig Electroinica :lol My wife just looks at me too :lol

CV, that was a very touching song by your husband. :yes

And what Jeff said about being a blessing in so many ways? He meant to turn the blade in my guilty conscience a little bit. He likes to do that when he feels it has been piqued enough. :lol

I get it, Jeff!! As for your video, would I be walking out on another limb in saying "Your video was... interesting..."? ;)

piqued?... I don't even know what that means :toofunny

If you enjoyed freefire, you'd really enjoy me "Popping" :lol

Would love to be able to do some "Poppin and Lockin" :D

Crazzzy :shocked!

oh boy, well, thanks so much for the clarification :) I am glad it's something simple! I will just call him Stove, I guess :)

Jason,
it's "a lot", not alot and not, it's not allot :D :lol

All your base are belong to us ;)

And tell your pastor not to be "that guy". :oops (Sorry if it is)
Actually, the guy in the lobby-looking video, criticizing another's singing voice and dancing (we ARE to "Praise Him with Trimbel and Dance") bothers me more.

A Self-righteous know-it-all with a shaky camera man offends me more than a guy who has watched too many music videos.
