I saw this stuff somehwere: Forgiving someone is easy, it's trusting them again that's hard....

If you don't trust them, have you really forgiven them?

Sometimes it is almost impossible to trust or forgive a person depending on how much they have hurt us.God says we are to forgive so we pray to God to give us the ability to do so.We forgive for our own sake so we are not harboring bittness the rest of our lives. That is not healthy and it grows and grows. We do not have go have a relationship with that person again. So they are both very hard to do.

If you can't trust them, it means you're still holding on to something. Forgiving is letting go.
Well. What should one do when say a sales girl keeps part of the money to herself...should I keep trusting her?

the following is not necessarily applicable to every person and situation. Yhvh knows. (very few living persons are trustworthy).

"What Does It Mean to Believe in Jesus? - Good News Magazine ...
Many claim to believe in Jesus Christ, but according to the Bible they really don't. How can you know that your belief is genuine? The New Testament urges us ..."

"John 12:42 Yet at the same time many even among the leaders ...
Some Believe in Jesus 42 Nevertheless many even of the rulers believed in Him, but because of the Pharisees they were not confessing Him, for fear ... " (people can and will keep people from following Yeshua)

"Proverbs 29:25 Fear of man will prove to be a snare, but ...
The fear of man brings a snare, But he who trusts in the LORD will be exalted. ... The fear of man brings a snare: but whoever puts his trust in the LORD shall be safe."

"Jeremiah 17:5 This is what the LORD says: "Cursed is the one ...
This is what the LORD says: "Cursed is the one who trusts in man, ... The LORD says, "I will put a curse on people who trust in mere human beings, ..."

"Jeremiah 17:5-8 Cursed Be The Man That Trusteth In Man ...
Blessed is the man that trusteth in the LORD, ... Trust in the Lord and have the blessing. Trust in man and have the curse."

Trusting in any of man's religions is cursed, following any man instead of following Yeshua is cursed, by Yhvh the Creator.

Trusting any man/flesh/mankind --- friend or foe or credentials or 'respected' --- cast it all before Yhvh, trust Yhvh, no one else until all is tested and proven in Him/prayer/ always all in line with all of Scripture.

Mark 11:25 And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have ought against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses.
Mark 11:26 But if ye do not forgive, neither will your Father which is in heaven forgive your trespasses

It's hard sometimes, but we have to forgive and not only forgive, but to love those who come against us as God loves the sinner, but not the sin. We need to pray for those and ask the Holy Spirit to convict their heart that they too will come to repentance before the Father.

Trust demands respect and when that trust is broken the respect is lost, but can be regained again through time.

No, you turn her in to her superiors.

no. look to Abba and do what He says at the moment.
remmber , Yeshua didn't turn judas the thief/His betrayer over to anyone else - Yeshua didn't treat judas different than He treated the other apostles or disciples --- they didn't even know judas was a thief and betrayer and demon until later.

I do not trust anyone in the world. And I mean no one until they have shown me that they can be trusted.I have been disappointed many times in my life.Someone has proven me wrong and they were not the person that I thought they were.Jesus is the one and only that I trust completely and always will.

I trust people a lot. Im I in trouble?

I once trusted everyone.I have gotten in a whole lot of trouble and have been very, very disappointed by doing that.
This is also the problem I'm currently facing. Trust is not written on faces...thats just the problem. It can take even an age to prove someone trustworthy.

By superiors what exactly do you mean?
Everyone.I now am not naive.I watch what people say and do.I am a good observer. My mom was an excellent judge of character I hope I have picked that up from her.

Thats a good quality.

Yet there are some that appear as doves...but are deadlier than venom. They can take years before they can carry out their evil plan.

If you don't trust them, have you really forgiven them?

Yeah. It's two different things. You can realise that a person cannot be trusted because of whatever issues they have. On the other hand, realising that they act out of weakness or fear rather than evil you can forgive them and let go of any grudge you have against them, and honestly pray for them.
So you may let them off the hook emotionally, but still don't trust them ever again (or maybe not for a long time). It limits the depth of friendship you can have with that person. But it doesn't mean you still hold them accountable for their sins before God.

If you can't trust them, it means you're still holding on to something. Forgiving is letting go.

I'm not sure about this brother. I'm of the mind that forgiving is one thing, and trust is another. Why couldn't you forgive someone for doing you wrong (and let it go)...but why would that mean that you had to trust them again? Like if they ripped you off for some money, and you forgave them for it, heck it was only money. But they came again and wanted you to put more money in their hand?

I guess what I'm asking is what does trust have to do with forgiveness?
