Easier to forgive than to trust again

no body is saying be stupid but if you don't allow yourself to be hurt, you will never know that there at others that can be trusted.

I would feel safe I didn't have emotions. I would be in bliss. but god didn't make me that way.

if you learn what the Creator's Word says about man/men, you won't trust anyone.(trust only Yhvh in Yeshua; test all other).
John 2:24 from various>>>

John 2:23-25Young's Literal Translation (YLT)
23 And as he was in Jerusalem, in the passover, in the feast, many believed in his name, beholding his signs that he was doing;
24 and Jesus himself was not trusting himself to them, because of his knowing all [men],
25 and because he had no need that any should testify concerning man, for he himself was knowing what was in man.

Aramaic Bible in Plain English
But Yeshua did not entrust himself to them, because he knew all men,

American King James Version
But Jesus did not commit himself to them, because he knew all men,

American Standard Version
But Jesus did not trust himself unto them, for that he knew all men,

Douay-Rheims Bible
But Jesus did not trust himself unto them, for that he knew all men,

There you go brother. Bingo! There's even trust onvolved in our walk with the Lord. Followers do not get given the same amount of revelation that friends, sons, or bride does. As the Lord learns that He can trust you...then one will be given more.

But to he who more is given, more will be required. ;)

That's my company! I only take cash or local checks. I used to take credit cards but it was too much overhead so I dropped it. I walk with honor though.

How about on a personal level? Acquaintances, friends, but for not very long. He/she wants to borrow $1000 cash. (You do have it, but have never done something like this for them before) You're spidey sense goes off, uh-oh, I might not get it back. Or, he/she may be true to their word. Generally speaking, one does not go around passing out that amount of money to people that they do not know extremely well and trust. Would 50 bucks help? This amount would perhaps help them, and also give them a chance to establish a higher level of trust with you. (or a long term set-up/sting lol). It's still a risk, but not of an amount that would make you hurt or look idiotic for giving a somewhat stranger a large amount of money. There's still trust involved in a smaller loan. See what I mean?
I would only loan money to family.I have given alot of money to my kids.I did not ask for it back.I was there for them in their time of need.Now.....if I were bucks up and inherited a ton of money I would love to help those who genuinely needed it and that would only be by referred to a person who knew that person very well. There have been too many scamming situations.I have helped people who do not even know me but that is between God and myself.

2Co_5:17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
Gal_6:15 For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision, but a new creature.

Yes sister, but this does not take place overnight. It is a growth process. A new creature for sure...but...a babe, with much to learn and grow into.

Really He has to learn? :)

:lol ok. Good catch sister! As we show Him more and more that we can be trusted.
As our faith in Him grows and we get more integrity and righteousness written upon our hearts.

I understand that mindset sister, but scripture instructs us to not turn any away which asks to borrow. Especially if the need is real and not a lie to get drug money or something.

Proverbs tell us that when we help the poor, we lend to the Lord, and He always pays back.

Also, everything comes from the Lord. Freely you have been given, so freely give. :wink

No but God gave us a brain and I think He wants us to use it and be wise and knowlegable.

In a way, this is not wrong because, we're teaching Him that we do understand, and seek to walk in righteousness with honor and integrity from our hearts. Then He looks at our heart to perceive the truth in what we say/do.

I hope that makes sense. :dancing

No, we do not teach God anything. He knows us alot better than we know ourselves. He has all the hairs on our head counted. He knows what we are going to say even before we say it.

" for now I know Abraham loveth me more then his son.."

where is that found?

I have to disagree with this. We do not use our brain. We do not lean upon our own understanding. This is clearly taught in scripture. To seek/be wise and knowledgeable is correct, however, it is done on a spiritual level (living for the Spirit) and using our spiritual senses. It's more of thinking from your heart than your brain. Like the spirits do. Like we (Adam & Eve) did before the fall.

Why don't we use our brain?God gave us a brain.

im glad that Im being slowly set free from my issues. if I used my "brain" and not listened to the unction of god. then I wouldn't have opened up and tried any new thing that is foreing to me. my natural tendency is to clam up and don't tell others about my pains. or when I do its for some codependent thing.

my choice to get healed or to remain sick.

God speaks to our hearts. He gave us the Holy Spirit as our counselor to guide and direct us.If I am doing something that is way off from what God wants me to do I feel strange.I feel uncomfortable.I know something is not right.
