I wonder why some people consider it indecent for a male/female to embrace the opposite sex.

I see nothing wrong with it provided it is done from a moral mind.
It is sheer greetings. I'm not in the habit of that tho. But I inadvertently do that when I suddenly notice an old friend, or when leaving some loved ones for whatever place that will take me away from them for a long time or forever, or when something extraordinary happens...

Etc

Do you also consider embracing the opposite sex unsafe and dangerous

Christian morals have to come from Christian scripture. There's no scripture prohibiting it if, as you say, it's done with a moral mind. It's an expression of love, and I believe that IS mentioned in scripture.

The word "embrace" always makes me think of Star Wars. "Embrace the dark side, Luke!"
Is embracing the dark side immoral? :nod
Embracing? What of 1 Thes 5:26 Greet all the brethren with an holy kiss. :thud
Maybe I should great all my brothers with a holy kiss when I go to church now? What kind of kiss would be a holy kiss? :biggrin2

Dear Sister Claudya, the assembly I attended continues to practice the Holy Kiss, though most western churches have long ago dropped this greeting replaced by handshakes, and even where it is done, the manner is often different. Some kiss cheeks while others kiss one another on the lips, and both men and women participate in the brotherly greeting without sexual complicity or intent. It is truly to be a kiss of love; not lust much likened as to how one would kiss their mother or father in such a family meeting.

In our assembly we do kiss on the lips, but not all that attend do this and much may have to do with spiritual growth of an individual, or even hang-ups over such a tradition. Some may even be racially motivated to not kiss another person, and its observance should not be judged. It is a sweet act of love between brethren and any divergence from purity would quickly be noticed.

This following video shows the practice of the Holy Kiss probably in a Russian Orthodox church. It can possibly be one of the things we have inherited such as that we read in 2 Thes 2:15 Therefore, brethren, stand fast, and hold the traditions which ye have been taught, whether by word, or our epistle.
Blessings to you Claudya in Jesus. :wave2

It comes from their immoral imagination. Because they have no control over the immorality that rests inside them, they assume everyone else is just like them. They make judgments based on their limitations. Their moral compass is skewed.

I don't see a problem if it's done like a Brother & Sister in Christ greeting or farewell. I have some good female Christian sisters that I've known for a while and we embrace.

The Holy Kiss might be going a bit far for me....not that I'd object, lol :D
