Enter the Kingdom of Heaven

Please read this verse from the Bible:

From that time Jesus began to preach, saying, "Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand." Matt 4:17 RSV

Heaven, I believe, is not a place. It is what your life becomes when you stop sinning. (The place we spend eternity is the resurrection.)

Are you guilty of unchastity? Are you guilty of insobriety or use of other addictive substances? Are you guilty of pride? Are you guilty of failing to love the Lord with all your heart, mind, and soul? Are you guilty of any other sin? If so, knock it off and enter the kingdom of heaven.

Paul said we were translated out of the kingdom of darkness into the kingdom of Christ. Paul claimed to be a faithful warrior but he never claimed perfection.

ah you dont get the concept. he is going to die and by doing so he is talking of the houses (as in the jewish family concept). meaning that were he goes since we are his family we can be with him.

Yes, this is the resurrection. When we die, we pass on to the resurrection. That is not heaven. Heaven is the peace, contentment and security you get when you repent of your sin.

{16} "The Law and the Prophets were proclaimed until John; since that time the gospel of the kingdom of God has been preached, and everyone is forcing his way into it. Luke 16:16 (NASB)

What did Christ mean by these words? How could anyone "take the kingdom of heaven by force?"

I have a pretty good idea of what this refers to, but let's get some feedback on it. What do you think He meant by this?

We've all sinned. Thankfully, the Lord forgives us for those sins after he has imparted the necessary discipline. If we stop sinning, we don't have to go through that anymore.

New Jerusalem is the peace that descends on us when we stop sinning.

We've all sinned. Thankfully, the Lord forgives us for those sins after he has imparted the necessary discipline. If we stop sinning, we don't have to go through that anymore.

no man can be sin free this side of heaven.

i challenge you to list the sins you knowingly did openly.

then ask god to show you how you have other sins that you arent even seeing yet.

god is so holy that we cant measure to that. its grace not works that saves.

no one is saying we should have sin fest here, just that your works version isnt going to get you to heaven.

no tears for them christian who have lost loved one in muslim countries for believing in christ?

that is what the new city is. the removal of sin from the whole earth. meaning that we wont sin anymore. we are completely set free from the very desire to sin.

Heaven is only heaven when we are happy and secure. We can have that right now if we stop sinning, which is what Jesus told us to do (Matt 4:17).

Heaven is only heaven when we are happy and secure. We can have that right now if we stop sinning, which is what Jesus told us to do (Matt 4:17).

no, that isnt it. was peter happy when they crucified him upside down and didnt feel pain? no he had the lord with him but im sure he was in agony.

watch you teach is a clear heresy. its happy one moment and then sadness the next. no man is so holy and pure that he wont sin daily.

Social climbers try to take the kingdom of heaven by force by maneuvering themselves into positions of authority and then lording over people.
