There is a difference between being saved (forgiven for past sins) and putting an end to our sinning so the Lord doesn’t have to keep saving us over and over again.
Yes, we all need to be saved from the consequences of past sins. But the chore before us is to stop sinning so the Lord doesn’t have to keep saving us. As Paul said:
[12] Therefore, my beloved, as you have always obeyed, so now, not only as in my presence but much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling;
[13] for God is at work in you, both to will and to work for his good pleasure. Phil 2:12-13 RSV
funny he admited that he wasnt perfect and died in such manner. grace and grace is whats needed.
iam not a eternal security type but its not a legalistic salvation.
its we repent and strive to be holy, not that we will ever make it.
we do to please him as that is what he wants and we want to.
santification isnt justification
otherwise for every little sin we would have to repent then and there and we sin so much do we have to repent all the time.
we are that wicked.yes we should repent daily but if i take it your way then i cant work as i would have time to do is pray and repent.
hard to do that like you put it.
and you failed to adress that verse i stated on all that they live godly shall be perscuted. thats a promise
that means live holy and the world will hate you. life wont be bliss. sometimes doing the right thing means hardship and death.
