[ Young Earth ] Evidence for a YOUNG earth...

Dr. Javier Cabrera was professor of medicine and head of his department at the University of Lima. He has retired from that position and is presently the Cultural Anthropologist for Ica, Peru. In the early 1930's, his father found many of these ceremonial burial stones in area's numerous Inca tombs. Dr. Cabrera has continued his father's research and has collected over 1100 of them. Approximately one third depict the pornographic culture of the Incas, graphically portrayed in the artifacts of that period. Some picture their idolatry, other represent amazing accomplishments, such as successful brain surgery confirmed by scarred skulls which demonstrate healed recovery. Almost one third of the stones depict specific types of dinosaurs, like those seen below, as well as Triceratops, Stegosaurus and Pterosaurs.

Australia’s Aborigines . . .

Did they see dinosaurs?

...IN CONCLUSION

Australia’s Aboriginal heritage is rapidly being lost. Many of the Dreamtime stories still recall events from their history, up to the dispersion at Babel, such as the great Flood. 12 There are several traditions which suggest that the ancestors of today’s Aborigines may have had contact with the last few dinosaurian survivors of a rapidly drying continent. The details in the newspaper report of what seems to have been a bipedal dinosaur at Geelong last century seem hard to discount.

Apparent Dinosaur sightings by man from centuries past are legion, in the form of dragon legends around the globe. 13This magazine has previously shown photographic evidence of ancient rock drawings of dinosaurs. 14

The many Aboriginal accounts, even if only a portion of them have a basis in fact, are consistent with this pattern. Descriptions of dinosaur-like creatures are also found in the Bible (Job chapter 40).

All this is consistent with a straightforward reading of Genesis, where we read that mankind and the land animals were created together, on day Six of Creation Week. They were not separated by millions of years.

Why would the Chinese use 11 real animals in their calendar and then use a supposed mythical creature (dragons) for the 12th? They did not. To them "dragons" were real creatures...these dragons were the so called "dinosaurs"...

We are missing the forest for the trees. Man lived with dinosaurs. The earth is young not old.

Amazing evidence! So many Dinosaur artifacts! Why? Because the ancients admired them and thought them no different than any other creature that existed at the time...

Check out the video to see where and when this was found.

    Ginkgo biloba

If there was ever a seed plant that deserves the title of "living fossil" it is the maidenhair tree, or Ginkgo biloba. The plant is native to China and has no living relatives.

12 of the most astounding living fossils known to science.

Their definition:

"To be clear, "living fossils" is not a scientific term per se, and there's no consensus on a formal definition. But for the purposes of this article, we're going to define a living fossil as an ancient species that (1) hasn't gone extinct, (2) has not produced, or "radiated," many new species (i.e. low taxonomic diversity), and (3) has remained relatively unchanged over the course of millennia."

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cycad

Cycads /ˈsaɪkædz/ are seed plants with a long fossil history that were formerly more abundant and more diverse than they are today. They typically have a stout and woody (ligneous) trunk with a crown of large, hard and stiff, evergreen leaves. They usually have pinnate leaves.

Not old!

From wiki..

..there more than one way to interprete data...:wink

Living fossils..

Plants
    • Amborella – a plant from New Caledonia, possibly closest to base of the flowering plants
    • Sycamore tree - leaves of fossil sycamores have an incredibly similar phenotype to those living today
    • Trapa - water caltrops, seeds, and leaves of numerous extinct species are known all the way back to the Cretaceous.
    • Nelumbo - several species of lotus flower are known exclusively from fossils dating back to the Cretaceous.

More living fossils...

What's the more logical explanation? The earth is not that old. All the evidence points to the same thing.

Sorry for the speed of this thread. I post as the spirit and ideas lead.
There's allot to know and time is running out.

We have been lied to on a massive scale.

Not just another boat.

Yes this vessel had "Dinosaurs" onboard. In Noah's eyes, just a bunch of animals.

Gen 1:24 24Then God said, “Let the earth bring forth living creatures after their kind: cattle and creeping things and beasts of the earth after their kind”; and it was so. 25God made the beasts of the earth after their kind, and the cattle after their kind, and everything that creeps on the ground after its kind; and God saw that it was good.

Gen 7 1Then the LORD said to Noah, “Enter the ark, you and all your household, for you alone I have seen to be righteous before Me in this time. 2You shall take with you of every clean animal by sevens, a male and his female; and of the animals that are not clean two, a male and his female; 3also of the birds of the sky, by sevens, male and female, to keep offspring alive on the face of all the earth. 4“For after seven more days, I will send rain on the earth forty days and forty nights;

Here is a clear example of how they misinterprete the data. This tablet was found and again talked about the great flood. However, this table makes a wild claim...it talks about how the boat was round and not like how the Bible describes its dimensions. (A rectangle)

The tablet indeed described the one and only Noah's flood, but in a slightly twisted version. Like the telephone game.

After the flood, Noah would have sat around the camp fire telling all the kiddies the story's about what happened. Because of sin, one day, some kids left Noah's fire (just as they do today) and went off in rebellion to the truth.

As time went on, the stories drifted and became more and more colourful. By the time this tablet was written, the ark had become "round."

How many round ships do you see today?

None.

The Bible had the correct dimensions.

The discovery is emmece however; again more ancient evidence that the early people of earth remember a flood!

This is exactly what one would expect to see if in fact a global deluge did occur in the not so distant past...

Snip:

The Epic of Gilgamesh has been of interest to Christians ever since its discovery in the mid-nineteenth century in the ruins of the great library at Nineveh, with its account of a universal flood with significant parallels to the Flood of Noah's day.1, 2 The rest of the Epic, which dates back to possibly third millennium B.C., contains little of value for Christians, since it concerns typical polytheistic myths associated with the pagan peoples of the time. However, some Christians have studied the ideas of creation and the afterlife presented in the Epic. Even secular scholars have recognized the parallels between the Babylonian, Phoenician, and Hebrew accounts, although not all are willing to label the connections as anything more than shared mythology.3

There have been numerous flood stories identified from ancient sources scattered around the world.4 The stories that were discovered on cuneiform tablets, which comprise some of the earliest surviving writing, have obvious similarities. Cuneiform writing was invented by the Sumerians and carried on by the Akkadians. Babylonian and Assyrian are two dialects of the Akkadian, and both contain a flood account. While there are differences between the original Sumerian and later Babylonian and Assyrian flood accounts, many of the similarities are strikingly close to the Genesis flood account.5 The Babylonian account is the most intact, with only seven of 205 lines missing.6 It was also the first discovered, making it the most studied of the early flood accounts.

The Epic of Gilgamesh is contained on twelve large tablets, and since the original discovery, it has been found on others, as well as having been translated into other early languages.7 The actual tablets date back to around 650 B.C. and are obviously not originals since fragments of the flood story have been found on tablets dated around 2,000 B.C.8 Linguistic experts believe that the story was composed well before 2,000 B.C. compiled from material that was much older than that date.9 The Sumerian cuneiform writing has been estimated to go as far back as 3,300 B.C.10

In both the Genesis and Gilgamesh stories:

* The Genesis story describes how mankind had become obnoxious to God; they were hopelessly sinful and wicked. In the Babylonian story, they were too numerous and noisy.
*The gods (or God) decided to send a worldwide flood. This would have drowned all men, women, children, babies and infants, as well as eliminate all of the land animals and birds.

* God (or one of the gods) knew of one righteous man, Ut-Napishtim or Noah.
*One of the gods (or God) ordered the hero to build a multi-story wooden ark (called a chest or box in the original Hebrew).
*The ark would be sealed with pitch.

*The ark would have many internal compartments
* It would have a single door

*It would have at least one window.
*The ark was built and loaded with the hero, a few other humans, and samples from all species of other land animals.
*A great rain covered the land with water.
*The mountains were submerged under water.

*The ark landed on a mountain in the Middle East.

*The hero sent out birds at regular intervals to find if any dry land was in the vicinity.

*The first two birds returned to the ark. The third bird apparently found dry land because it did not return.
*The hero and his family left the ark, ritually killed an animal, offered it as a sacrifice.
*God (or the gods in the Epic of Gilgamesh) smelled the roasted meat of the sacrifice.
*The hero was blessed.
*The Babylonian gods seemed genuinely sorry for the genocide that they had created. The God of Noah appears to have regretted his actions as well, because he promised never to do it again.
*The were a number of details in which the two stories differed:

*Noah received his instructions directly from Yahweh; Ut-Napishtim received them indirectly during a dream.
*Noah's ark was 3 stories high and rectangular in shape. Two estimated dimensions are 547 x 91 ft. and 450 x 75 ft. The Babylonian ark was 6 stories high and square.
*Ut-Napishtim invited additional people on board: a pilot and some skilled workmen.
*Noah's ark landed on Mt. Ararat; Ut-Napishtim's at on Mt. Nisir; these locations are both in the Middle East, and are located few hundred miles apart.

* In the Bible, some of the water emerged from beneath the oceans. The rains from above lasted for 40 days and nights. A 40 day interval often symbolized a period of judgment in the Hebrew Scriptures. 2 In the Babylonian account, the water came only in the form of rain, and lasted only 6 days.

Noah released a raven once and a dove twice; Ut-Napishtim released three birds: a dove, swallow and raven.

Conclusions

From the early days of the comparative study of these two flood accounts, it has been generally agreed that there is an obvious relationship. The widespread nature of flood traditions throughout the entire human race is excellent evidence for the existence of a great flood from a legal/historical point of view.20 Dating of the oldest fragments of the Gilgamesh account originally indicated that it was older than the assumed dating of Genesis.21 However, the probability exists that the Biblical account had been preserved either as an oral tradition, or in written form handed down from Noah, through the patriarchs and eventually to Moses, thereby making it actually older than the Sumerian accounts which were restatements (with alterations) to the original.

A popular theory, proposed by liberal "scholars," said that the Hebrews "borrowed" from the Babylonians, but no conclusive proof has ever been offered.22 The differences, including religious, ethical, and sheer quantity of details, make it unlikely that the Biblical account was dependent on any extant source from the Sumerian traditions. This still does not stop these liberal and secular scholars from advocating such a theory. The most accepted theory among evangelicals is that both have one common source, predating all the Sumerian forms.23 The divine inspiration of the Bible would demand that the Genesis account is the correct version. Indeed the Hebrews were known for handing down their records and tradition.24 The Book of Genesis is viewed for the most part as an historical work, even by many liberal scholars, while the Epic of Gilgamesh is viewed as mythological. The One-source Theory must, therefore, lead back to the historical event of the Flood and Noah's Ark.25 To those who believe in the inspiration and infallibility of the Bible, it should not be a surprise that God would preserve the true account of the Flood in the traditions of His people. The Genesis account was kept pure and accurate throughout the centuries by the providence of God until it was finally compiled, edited, and written down by Moses.26 The Epic of Gilgamesh, then, contains the corrupted account as preserved and embellished by peoples who did not follow the God of the Hebrews.

Fantastic article on origins of oil and how it relates to a YEC (Young Earth Creationist) view of the world.

answersingenesis.org/geology/the-origin-of-oila-creationist-answer/

Here it is in a nut shell. It's quite technical, but it distills into a nice theory.

If you have watched my evidence for a global flood video, traditionally, YEC's believe that oil/coal and gas mostly came from the rapidly buried plants, animals and algae during the year long covering of the earth by the Noachian Flood.

Large vegetation mats of forests (like spirit lake) where buried and compressed with great pressure that ultimately gave rise to oil, coal and natural gas deposits. I personally still believe this, however, it's not without its issues...

The two main schools on origins of oil are Biogenic (from living matter) or Abiogenic (from non living material. The problem is that both theories have pros and cons. The author of this article proposed a THIRD option.

Simply put, God himself created much "oil" in situ as part of the Creation, just as He created Adam, Eve the animals and forests. It's a completely acceptable perspective. There is evidence for this to!

Noah was instructed as we read in Genesis to:

Noah Builds the Ark
13Then God said to Noah, "The end of all flesh has come before Me; for the earth is filled with violence because of them; and behold, I am about to destroy them with the earth. 14"Make for yourself an ark of gopher wood; you shall make the ark with rooms, and shall cover it inside and out with pitch. 15"This is how you shall make it: the length of the ark three hundred cubits, its breadth fifty cubits, and its height thirty cubits.… Genesis 6

I can't believe I never saw this before! Oil in the form of pitch was around BEFORE THE FLOOD!

So, God could have created oil, in several forms and amounts, in part, just as he created the minerals, gold, etc as part of the Creation in anticipation of man's coming disobedience. He knew full well that after the flood, polar regions would be cold and that man would need a form of energy to sustain itself.

I personally do believe that massive quantities of oil are in fact related to organic debris being covered by the swirling flood mud and sand of the deluge. However, Noah used pitch, a water proof covering, so some form of oil existed before the flood!

This theory solves some issues!

Fascinating!
